Guest johnson293
Talksport reckon he is off to Sunderland. Talk Sport's 'North-East expert' Graham Courtney. Who is that? He used to be the press officer (or summit like that) at St James Park, when KK was here as manager first time. Think he was a Sports Journo for Metro radio before that though. SUPERTOON
Logic says Sunderland would be a horrible choice to any player. But they're likely to pay extra just to beat us to a signing, and get the PR up for their fans/mongs. He'd still live near his French mates and hang with them too. So having a strong French connection maybe isn't so much a plus for us. Money could talk and the Scum could very well spend big just to get one over us. Don't think Quinn or Short see it like that though. They will have a wage they are willing to go too, just depends on whose wage barrier is higher? Do they still not have to clear a load off their wage bill, before they can bid for him?

Carlito
I suppose you can't win 'em all. Just wish we would with this one in particular.

If he goes to Sunderland it will be because he can live in the toon and be with his French mates like you said. But he would still prefer to come here and be part of the French revolution on the pitch. I just have a feeling that he's not a priority for us any more. Wrongly IMO. AliGupter
The only way he will go to Sunderland is if no one else actually stumps up the money for him, if he has a choice, he won't choose Sunderland.
Tsunami
We've just signed a winger, the Ronnie reckons Jose (edit Jonas) is staying; we will not stump up 9 mill or more for N'Zog our priorities now lie elsewhere - like a striker.

SEMTEX
Like it or not Sunderland is a step up from Wigan. Not a monumental one, but definitely better than Wigan.

True, but the best Sunderland are ever going to do is look for top 10 in the league. He'll know here, maybe not this season but 2-3 years down the line, we could push on higher than just settling for that.

Geordie Ahmed
I can see N'Zogbia going to the Mackems BUT only if a better offer doesn't come in from elsewhere
Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
Yeah. I don't think he'd really consider Sunderland.
Wullie
It certainly seems more prevalent than ever though. Maybe because most of the over-negative types have been rooted out. I don't buy into it, by the way, I know you're as giddy as the rest of us really. I don't know where the rest of you get it from tbh, your enthusiasm and optimism is astonishing. There's nothing better for me than seeing Newcastle score goals and win games but I stopped getting excited by signings a long time ago. Too many false dawns, too many kicks in the teeth from Mike Ashley, I just want the season to start.
relámpago blanco
Pre ashley:- want club to get wages and crazy transfers fees for has beens undercontrol Under Ashley :- Why are we not a net 50 mil loss on transfers season on season

Too many false dawns, too many kicks in the teeth from Mike Ashley, I just want the season to start. Ah man, I just love it. I hope that never changes. I've had to do football from a non-emotional standpoint for the last two years now, and it makes it as boring as fuck for me. Takes away the real reason why you get attached to the game in the first place. It's all about the ups and downs, as daft as that sounds being a NUFC fan - as there are typically a lot more lows than highs - but there's not much better than a new signing to get me excited about stuff again. I really do love this time of year. There's not much reality about, just pure hope and anticipation. We'll all be back to moaning by Christmas if things go to form. But maybe, just maybe... binnsy
I can see him going to Sunderland, seemed to have a decent relationship with Bruce at Wigan but think it could be a problematic move for him, if he's joins he'll live back in Newcastle and while he's good mates with Titus he still as friends like Shola here along with our new French contingent i can see him getting grief when he's out and about in town especially if it looks like he turned us down for them, the mongs over in mackemland will probably give him grief as well for socialising with mags!!
