nufcjb
who gets to take home the match ball if there are 2 or more players score a hattrick in the same match like last night when both Sheffield United and Fulham had players scoring a hattrick each? Kaizero
Player on the winning team I'd guess. If it's a draw then obviously a fight to the death.

Greg
There is no rule on this so to speak but the convention is whoever gets the hat-trick first, irrespective of being on winning or losing team, gets the match ball.

Exiled in Texas
there are multiple balls in use at a game - why not each take one
Sima
Didn't both Kelly and Cole get a hat-trick in the 7-1 v Leicester?
geordiedean
Didn't both Kelly and Cole get a hat-trick in the 7-1 v Leicester? Yes they did..Kelly scored his first in the first half though Also remember Mickey Quinn and John Aldridge both getting hatricks in that crazy 6-6 game away at Tranmere in the stupid ZDS cup. Only Newcastle could score 6 away from home and not win

AyeDubbleYoo
Do West Ham sell out their new stadium? Fancied going to their match tonight but there only a few seats listed via ticket exchange. And that's with them charging 45/55. Assumed I could get in easily. Disco
I think a lot of tickets are bought up by tour companies/for resale etc. There's always spare seats on TV but I think like Arsenal it's 'sold out'
Kaizero
Out of all retired ex-NUFC players, who have done the best financially after their professional career? And are there any horror stories (finance wise, not alcohol/drug wise). Came to me as I just read about how John Carew has turned the £30 million he earned throughout his career into £170 million through property investments. Can't really think of too many retired players who've moved on to have successful post-football careers in other fields than TV.

midds
Not really a question to be honest but what could be the best back 5 (gk plus a back 4) you could conceivably put together, age and cost no option? Just a general rant as the forwards and strikers tend to hog the highlights and win all of the awards and plaudits. The emphasis is always on the attacking element of the game and the best forwards and attacking players are household names but the best defended now seem to be a bit if an afterthought. Putting together the front 6 of a world XI is pretty simple but the defensive 5, for me, is far more difficult. What's the best defence you could cobble together? triggs
Neuer as keeper, Dani Alves and Marcelo as full backs. Centre halves are really difficult as a lot of really good centre halves are made to look better or worse because of the other centre half with them or the way the team is set up

Centre halves are really difficult as a lot of really good centre halves are made to look better or worse because of the other centre half with them or the way the team is set up See this is what I mean. I'm talking about the best back 4 plus keeper you could assemble, all things considered. I'd love to go for Ramos at CB but mainly for his goals at corners, bringing the ball out of defence I'd perhaps go for Luiz but they've both got fundamental flaws as CBs. It's difficult. Tooj
I'd say Bonucci is better than Luiz at bringing the ball out from the back but he's had a nightmare this season. A couple of years ago I'd have put Boateng in there but injuries have knacked him a bit.
sbnufc
What happened to the 6 second rule for goalkeepers with the ball? Is it even a rule anymore? Adrian just collected it and had hold of it for 16 seconds and it felt like a pretty normal (now) length of time he had it, even though he's clearly time wasting already

M4
It's abused way too much. Most keepers take the absolute piss when their team is in the lead, but then why not, given that it's never really enforced. There should be some leeway, sure, for keepers when they are crowded. But you often see keepers hold on for 15-20 seconds.

No. http://theifab.com/laws/fouls-and-misconduct/chapters/indirect-free-kick No idea where I heard that from, I thought it was said on here when I asked the same question a while ago. Maybe I made the whole thing up, no idea now
