Darth Crooks
San Lorenzo are always a factor. Chatting to a bloke in buenos aires they are dying to have him back.
mrmojorisin75
“I’ve been delighted with Colo’s attitude. I hope that (he has a future at Newcastle) and it’s great that I’m coming in fresh because you’re not labelling everybody. I’ve looked at the squad, I’ve looked at Coloccini in training and he’s one of our best players. I know things were difficult last season but I want him out on the field in a Newcastle shirt playing for the team. I’m confident he will be.” i hope he fucks off but if he stays and mbemba is as fast and physical as they say he his then i could probably live with it for the remainder of his contract
Dave
@lee_ryder McClaren on Coloccini (who watched from stands): “We want to see him out on the field and we have to get to that situation very soon."
Twinport53
He's gonna be disappointed when Gladbach smash us all over then. Colo solves nothing.
AyeDubbleYoo
Colo's essential really, unless we sign an experienced defender ready to slot in alongside Mbemba straightaway. I think he's been shit recently but without him we are down to absolute dross. Everyone needs to hope he has a great season.
Ronaldo
Only Ian would consider 3 years as recent in this context.

Disco
Like him or not he's better to us fit than not given the state of the alternatives, be it in their playing style and ability or lack off, or being available in the first place.
Sir Toon
It's an absolute shambles that we still lie with defensive issues so close to the season start. If this is what Ashley meant by bolting the horse on, id hate to think what he would class as pony. i'll get me coat.

Andymc1
Based on absolutely nothing, I reckon Mcclaren has been told to get his wages off the books before he can sign a centre half.

I haven’t seen that yet, so I can’t make a decision on the future." Erm, have they actually told him that he has feck all say in who stays and who goes, or who comes and who doesn't? His quote suggests the exact opposite. It suggests they've asked him if he wants to keep Coloccini and he's said he wants to see him playing before he makes a decision. At the end of the day if the head coach decides not to play someone its pointless for the club to keep them around so he absolutely does have a big influence on who stays. Alberts Mustache
Why do he need to wait to see him in action? Why don't he just look at some of the games from last season? Move it, Schteve!
arnonel
Id much rather we keep him. Our backup options currently are a disaster.
