Chicken Dancer
What a load of shite that telegraph article is. Says he will be given till November yet also says there is a suspicion the men are in a compensation stand off. Basically they know as much as us. I still think if we get beat on Saturday that could be it, although I did think that at the end last night.

Scotty66
Yeah not taking that article for much at all tbh. Luke Edwards is clearly covering all bases while trying to look "in the know"

Chris_R
Haha, he variously says Pardew will get until Christmas, until November, or maybe be sacked sooner. That article is fucking useless.

BillClinton
How does he think we are going to solve this? Last time we were in trouble he bought five new players. that's not going to happen again, and if it does it will probably be too late. The only option is to get rid or Pardew and it must be done now.
Pixelphish
http://preview.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/ashley-will-not-bow-to-fans-pressure/ar-BB6xwWR Ashley will not bow to fans' pressure The Telegraph Luke Edwards 1 hour ago Alan Pardew is expected to remain as Newcastle United manager, even if the team lose again at Swansea City on Saturday as owner Mike Ashley stubbornly refuses to be forced into a decision by angry supporters. Ashley indicated to those close to him earlier this month that Pardew would be given until Christmas to improve the team's results and the unpleasant scenes during the 1-0 defeat at Stoke City on Monday night have not changed his mind. Privately, the club's media department are briefing that Pardew is safe and that he will still be in charge at Swansea on Saturday, even though they realise the calls from supporters for him to be sacked will not stop in the short or medium term. Although the majority of chants from the away fans at Stoke were calling for Pardew's head, there were also plenty of anti-Ashley sentiments expressed on bed sheets and in songs, something which has also strengthened the owner's resolve not to do anything that suggests the supporters are going to get their way. It is a horrible division between those who run the club and those who follow it, which is souring everything to do with the club. However, there has been no public backing for Pardew from Ashley and it is understood he is weighing up the situation carefully, which has included pondering potential replacements should he decide to put Pardew out of his misery. For the first time at the Britannia Stadium, Pardew conceded he was finding it tough to cope with the constant abuse from Newcastle supporters at away games and admitted there is a "big question mark" about his future in a job he has held for almost four years on Tyneside. Although Ashley is determined to resist calls to sack Pardew, he is alarmed by the winless start to the season and wants to see signs of improvement. If the team remain in the relegation zone in November, he is likely to act. Indeed, should the team lose badly at Swansea, he will use the international break to discuss Pardew's future with him again as he is aware he will have more time to talk to possible replacements should they agree to part company. Pardew is appreciative of the support he is being shown, although there is also a suspicion the two men are involved in a compensation stand-off. Ashley does not want to pay his manager off as he has six years left on his contract, while as hard as he is finding things, Pardew will not quit as he knows he is entitled to a large compensation package. Wait until Christmas? Ashley would have to buy Ronaldo, Messi, Bale, etc in January to stop us being relegated if he waits until after Christmas to replace Pardew. http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/527/247/7b7.gif

TK-421
Said it before, its the Mackems last season that have changed his thinking. Bottom at christmas and survived - he'll think its still possible. Problem is, I can't see us having the 13 points they did at that point, given our present form and approaching fixtures. So earlier in September he said Pardew had till Christmas. Well a lot of games and rubbish has been put out by the team since then. He might act in November. So basically if we're rubbish by then Christmas doesn't apply? If we're super rubbish on Saturday he might sack him during the international break. Well that's a banker then because we're about to be humped into the next life by Swansea. That is a useless article full of non committal base covering. He might as well have said Pardew will get sacked when Ashley feels like it, which we all knew anyway.

ExiledGeordie
I've said it before but why does the fucking moron even bother to turn up to watch us let alone travel to Stoke on a wet Monday night. He knows we're shit, there's absolutely nothing entertaining about us whatsoever. For an absolute fraction of what the club pulls in he could employ a decent manager, sign some decent players (even here he wouldn't have to spend millions), watch good football and well shit, STILL make a shit load of money. But no we have to drift through this absurd chain of events, lurching from disaster to disaster. Can't get my head round it at all. Genuinely seems like he does carry some agenda against the fans. Yep but i think the overridinf factor is, he gets his money back before the club can make any progress. Hence why NUFC has been standing still for 5 years. Wallace
I wonder if he has serious plans to sell at the end of next season or whether by letting the fans think he is planning to sell, he thinks they will get off his back. If he is planning to sell, he must have some interested parties because you can't just sell a football club on a whim (Villa seem to be struggling to find a buyer and Everton have been looking for years) so maybe there is an exit strategy in place and he is saving the TV money to pay off the loan. I am sure that if there was a buyer out there who would give him what he wants for the club, he would sell immediately but he is probably pricing the club well above the market value. The club is probably worth less than he paid for it anyway as it is a lesser entity these days as so much seems to have been sold off.
AyeDubbleYoo
I don't see why he would sell if he can keep us in the Premier League and make a profit.
