Hatem Ben Arfa

Wasn't it just the scar tissue in his hamstring causing him pain?

That is what Pardew said so i imagine so.

Oh now I feel reassured

In all seriousness though, what is to stop the same scar tissue giving him grief again? Be interested to know, but hopefully it all works out fine.

I know he talks a lot of crap but should ( in theory !) know more about what's going on than we do

Last time Ben Arfa played against Benfica, he was in Marseille.

He had good tecnique but some bad temper. Got sent off for kicking a benfica player.

you can find the video of the kicking

he scored the only marseille goal in the first leg at benfica ( 1 1) then at the second leg at home he was susbstitute, deschamps brought him at the 92th minutes when it was 2- 1 for benfica:

Kicking a benfica player is the first thing i would do aahaha

Watching 'Hatem Ben Arfa Skills 2013' in anticipation for tomorrow :sweetjesus:

I don't expect him to be match fit at all, but it still only takes 1 moment moment of magic. I await that moment.

The 93rd minute...

"It's Cabaye, he's slipped through Ben Arfa! BEN ARFAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! It's 2-0!"

I think I'd break something celebrating, both objects around me and bones.

More than likely going to be wildly off the pace if he does play.

 That's the spirit!

He's spot on though tbf. You couldn't find a better example of building someone up for a fall with some of the comments.

He's undoubtedly a brilliant player but he has had just over 60 minutes (then missed a few games after) in how long? He's likely to be very rusty. Better than Obertan? Of course. Single handedly dragging us through the game? I hope I'm wrong but It's very unlikely.

Seeing how long he took to get up to speed last season and how off the pace he looked against Anji.  I'm not holding out much hope of him being our svaiour.

Still be great to see him back playing though.  Games just aren't as enjoyable or exciting without him.  I hope he's 100% and will play a part between now and the end of the season.  Pardew saying today in the chron the hamstring hasn't fully healed?!

WTF is going on? Yesterday he was quoted as saying he'd made a miraculous recovery.

He shouldn't even be on the bench in that case.

As far as I remember Pardew said in his first statement a few days ago that scare tissue was present on the hamstring, but that the specialist says he's 100% fit to play.
