Tiresias
Will control games better than Perch ever will, even if he isn't as hard a tackler.
TherealnorthernTOON
Hasn't Anita played almost every game we've played since Cabayes injury? Looked knackered even when he came on against reading.

Cajun
If Pardew intends on playing Gouffran, Cisse, Ben Arfa, Sissoko and Cabaye I can understand why Perch is the other midfielder. If not then Is a shame for Anita though, he looks class and should have played more recently. Still think he could actually play a wide role, he is quick and intelligent. Tiresias
If it's genuine rotation I'm okay with it I suppose, we have depth that we can shift team around more now, but if Perch has supplanted him in pecking order would be annoying.
Yorkie
Probably a fair point I guess, he's every right to be exhausted after carrying the midfield in Cabaye's absence.

Smal
Anita has made more tackles per game than Perch this season btw, which I found surprising.

I can't there seems to be this thing going around that Anita is an attacking player, he's not he just played like that because thats how we used them due to lack of Cabaye etc etc and he's able to do so due to his pace and technical ability. He's a DM and fantastic at it, i have seen him as a DM at Ajax he hardly goes beyond the half way line in fact he was very Busquets like. Its time Pardew starts using him as one. If we had a in form Tiote available then i'd sort of understand it but i fail to see what Perch offers.

Perch has made more interceptions per game than Anita, so it's swings and roundabouts as far as stats go.
ATB
I got nothing against Perch. But I have started to pay a little bit more attention at him to try and solve why he starts and I must say that I still can´t answer that question. He´s nothing specially with the ball, in fact he loses it in dangerous situations, and even in the defensive work (the reason he is playing I think) he tend to go missing, take dangerous free kicks etc. I just can´t understand why he has become the most important player for Pardew. Anita should definitely play that role. And against Soto there are just no excuses to play Perch.
mrmojorisin75
my word this had slipped to page 3 of the forum!! feel for this lad personally, imo any other manager than pardew and he'd be on the teamsheet at the moment as tiote is an accident waiting to happen poor fucker slogs through the horror story that was the first half of our season, we start playing football suited to him and he's binned
Guest tollemache
I reckon Anita will play more and more as time goes on
AyeDubbleYoo
Feel sorry for him as well, hopefully in some games we can go without Tiote/Perch.
Minhosa
Hope the little fella gets some game time soon. In the words of Louis Walsh 'I loik him'.
mrmojorisin75
is he physical enough to be a pardew midfielder though is the question i ask myself, might end up out of favour by default
arnonel
size/physicality is a myth that has constantly been debunked on here.
joeyt
It would be ridiculous to just cast him aside after spending £7mil or whatever on him. Especially after looking like our brightest player after a tough start

arnonel
He isnt cast aside. We have more than 11 good players now. Simples. He will still be a very important player for us over the years
AyeDubbleYoo
I doubt anyone is casting him aside.

morla84
He's been out the side for 3 games man, 2 of which we won so stuck with unchanged sides and everyone said he looked knackered when he came on against Villa. Sounded like Llambias rates him very highly for one, going by his interview last week
