Gallowgate Toon
Still think the position he played at Ajax is his best and it would work here too. He had a good game last night, better than Cabaye in the time he was on.
thenige
I really thought he was poor last night. He just doesn't seem to be penetrative enough with the ball and for someone who is so well schooled you'd expect him to look less nervous when on the ball. He rarely seems to win a stand up challenge either. I think he could become a good player given time and despite saying all this he did have a brief run in the team where he looked a proper player. Just haven't seen much of that recently when he's been given the chance.
Kanj
Hoping well see a different Anita next season, with some time to review himself and see what needs to work on. Many good players have struggled in their first season, he's a young lad who doesn't have the physical side that can allow him to adapt as quick as others. Agree with many on here who don't see where he fits as of now- I'm just going to look at him positively for now though. There's a great and smart footballer in there that needs more time to adapt than others. Hopefully we see that next season.
LFEE
Do we think he'll be here next season?... I'm hoping he gets one more season to show something but i don't think the current management fancy him in midfield and it's hard to argue with them after the majority of performances... taxfree
Our new manager should make the decision. Most deserve a chance under another manager than Pardew.
Deuce
Do we think he'll be here next season?... I'm hoping he gets one more season to show something but i don't think the current management fancy him in midfield and it's hard to argue with them after the majority of performances... I hope he's here. He's a very useful player in the right set-up. However, if Ashley is content with the status quo management, Anita will never fully fit-in. So if Pardew is here for the long haul, there's not use in keeping Anita with Tiote, Perch, Jonas, and Bigirimana all fitting Pardew's "style" better. Tooj
He doesn't look strong enough for the DM role, not in the Premiership anyway, and he doesn't look skilful or quick enough to be a good attacking midfielder down the centre. He looks a useful utility player, but not much else. http://www.thefootballsocial.co.uk/images/players/swansea%20city/Leon%20Britton.jpg
Ronaldo
There's being strong and there's being able to win the ball.
TRC
Anita should not be judged this season, he's working under Pardew ffs
Gallowgate Toon
Technically gifted, intelligent player doesn't look good under moronic dinosaur, who'd have thought it? He'll never flourish with this arse in charge, he just doesn't have a clue how to use him.
TRC
Imagine coming from Ajax, to play under Pardew man.
Gallowgate Toon
Incredible, isn't it? I wonder what advice Pardew has given him while here? 'Put on some muscle Vurnon, try and grow a bit if you can'. I bet Anita could put together a better attacking strategy than AP.
Away Toon
It really makes you wonder why we bought him in the summer. His position was one of the very few that didn't need strengthening. He's completely wasted under Pardew.
David Icke - Son of God
Absolutely mental thing is that he would've been perfect in that midfield three we played at the arse end of last season alongside Tiote and Cabaye. We haven't even attempted to go down that road this year.
The College Dropout
He's the main reason why I don't think Pardew has much say over the transfers. From what i saw from him, he picks the ball up from defence and starts attacks. He's rarely been asked to do that here.

Yep Tbh i see no reason why under the right coach we couldn't do that with Cabaye and Sissoko in front, oh well.

As David Icke said, he'd have been perfect in that 4-3-3. dropping off to pick up the ball, keeping the midfield ticking over, would have freed Cabaye/Siss to roam more. I'm hoping that if another manager comes in, he'll get a chance next season. I think if used correctly he could be a great player for us do not build your hopes up to much. Spider Jerusalem
All I know is that if I was making a midfield substitution from the first minute to a ninety plus minute time waster I'd be choosing Anita before Dan fucking Gosling.
Tiotes Witch Doctor
Think Anita is being a little bit romanticized on here by some, he wouldn't have been anywhere near my starting lineup in recent games because he hasn't had a single game where hes looked decent in midfield IMO, I understand that the way Pardew plays stifles players with the technical qualities he has but almost every other player has shown at least something to suggest they are good players, I think Anita is just one of those signings that doesn't work out and isn't cut out for the premier league. I hope I'm wrong and another manager comes in and unlocks his potential but at the moment I don't see any, certainly not in this league.

I think if used correctly he could be a great player for us I wrote something for my shit blog last summer when we signed him basically saying how I thought he'd be a great signing as he seemed like the perfect 3rd CM for our 4-3-3, the inbetween destroyer (Tiote) and creator (Cabaye) that'd allow the latter to really let loose whilst helping the former keep us solid defensively. Criminal that it's never even been given a chance to happen. Can only assume Carr signed him thinking he'd fit into our system perfectly and then Pards has promptly changed that winning system. themanupstairs
This guy's career is headed into oblivion unless we have a change of manager, or he moves on to an actual footballing side. Not a world beater by any means, but a very solid and talented technical Dutch international, who can be part of a winning side anywhere IMO. Dan Gosling ffs
mrmojorisin75
anyone judging anita on this season and his performances under pardew haven't a fucking clue he's got pace, movement, technical ability and passing range...stick him in liverpools team no-one would be talking about his physique imo
