Mole_Toonfan
Well tbf he's right Anita is no Cabaye replacement even if he is better at the whole getting the ball from CBs and keep things ticking over bit. If Cabaye goes we definitely needs someone to provide Cisse or any one else for that matter with the service they need.

We’ve worked a little bit harder on him in the summer and talked about certain things. 'When he brings his game to this team, he can be an asset for us. He is very much a big part of what we are going to do. We’ve spent a lot of money on him, and invested time in him to help him.’ The game wouldn't bypass Anita if you learned to coach passing football you tosspot. Guest bimpy474
Obvious that he should have had Tiote's spot since Christmas, regardless of stature. I don't think tiote is even that much taller than him

Jordan
I think we looked much better in midfield yesterday because this lad was playing and Tiote wasn't. Tiote is detrimental to the team in the form he's in.

colinmk
Anita will never survive in a Pardew team. One below par game and he'll be dropped, probably will be for the next one even.

Lotus
Didn't see the point of subbing him off for Cabaye.
healthyaddiction
Really tidy, always available for a pass and consistent with his own passing, the reason why we kept possession so much better today. I like his partnership with Sissoko, concerned it'll be broken up after the international break if Tiote is back.

Lotus
Didn't see the point of subbing him off for Cabaye. Really? Yeah. Cabaye didn't do anything Anita wasn't. Except give away a really dangerous freekick i suppose. Anita didn't do that.
Ashley17
I think if you compare the two players you can't argue that Cabaye is more creative than Anita. Anita played well, neat & tidy, for 65 minutes but we needed something to push us on.
Cajun
I'm a happy boy today really, most of our players did well or very well imo.
AyeDubbleYoo
I don't think it's even a question of Anita v Cabaye, they're very different players. I think, with our problems retaining possession at times, Anita has to be on the team sheet. I would play them both in a 3 with Sissoko.

healthyaddiction
When Cabaye came on it looked like Sissoko became the deeper midfielder and Cabaye was pushed up to really support the attack. Anita is a good passer but he isn't a creator and Sissoko isn't either. He was put on the spot a pass and possibly pick up a goal. He wasn't very good unfortunately, put in a couple of very poor challenges and fluffed his one chance to shoot.
