Guest benge23
no matter how badly we have been playing always pumped for an away day!
maybe_next_year
just realised how far we could climb with a win. could really help gloss over our shitness.

durhamunigeordie
Just been to the train station and was told not to bother trying to get there. Am in a shocking mood now - was in Newcastle all week and could have taken ticket back, but had it sent to my parents address. Brilliant. Not only am I likely to have to watch us lose this afternoon, but i'm going to have paid £35 for the privilege of doing so on a dodgy stream in my front room. Robster
I quite enjoy this period of time. Pre-match, when you think 'Today is the day it all changes and things are going to get a whole lot better'. A few hours later....

Wallsendmag
Bad time for us to be playing them and it's a good time for them to be playing us. It's got defeat written all over it for us today.
themanupstairs
Scraping the bottom of a barren barrel for positives here, and maybe with HBA out, they won't really have a target to mark out of the game. I'm probably talking bollocks, but it could make us a tad bit less predictable?
Varadi
They have the worst defence in the league and haven't kept a clean sheet all season so I think we'll score, just hope we don't spend the whole game sitting back and invite pressure. RR15
If we go a goal behind, we won't come back and win. If we take the lead, we'll sit back and concede in the 80th minute.
Disco
Would like to see Obertan and Ferguson used as very wide men if available, stretch the game with Ba up top on his own as a focal point.
Beren
Would like to see Obertan and Ferguson used as very wide men if available, stretch the game with Ba up top on his own as a focal point. Only in Europe for me. Where he isn't ten times faster than his opponent, he is a liability/passenger. Rather have Sammy out wide - at least until the 60 minute mark. Gets involved, adds unpredictability.

Plus I'd prefer us to put players on their correct side for a change, particularly with the dearth of good balls in from full back. It's not a great choice either way tbf though. alexf
If Perch is back then would like to see Taylor-Perch at CB. Taylor and Williamson together are abysmal.
Ste
Predicting a tight 2-1 win. They can't keep a clean sheet but have scored in all but two games this season. Will be nervy but I think we'll do just enough.

Stifler
Just been watching the fall and rise of Newcastle United on youtube, it just reminds me that it's at the exact point when you think there is no way back for the club, just when all the things they do is wrong, it's at that exact moment that they do something to change it, lets hope today is that day before we get too far into the season. alexf
Even with our injuries etc on paper we will still have a better team than Southampton today.
Tiresias
I'm not going to be on the boards when this game is happening so I'm just going to post this now, imagine we've just lost 2-0 http://www.gifsforum.com/images/gif/fuk%20everything/grand/fuk-everything-eccbc87e4b5ce2fe28308fd9f2a7baf3-1392.gif
