Keep checking the forum everyday for any sign of a new signing, but same old shit. This is crazy bad, ludicrous that on Aug 1st we have not strengthened at all, in fact we've lost a few squad types.

He wants us to buy him instead,

“If he was to go, someone will have to pay for him. He has a buy-out clause, and we want our money back.”

Of course he does, but that means no one will touch him with a barge pole while the rape case is hanging over him. The loan deal is actually quite a clever idea on our part which would get things moving. For all the stick we are giving the player recruitment team, this shows some canny thinking.

A loan with an option to buy at £8m is the sensible outcome for any buying club... Surprised Spurs aren't interested...

They have got Soldado i doubt they need him, plus i reckon they will aim a little higher anyway.

Yeah but that is all they do have for a club with big ambitions... Defoe is being touted about... Bale looks set to leave... And as for Adebayor ...

Loic Remy talks enter final stage

We understand that Newcastle and QPR have entered into the final stage of negotiations for the season long loan of Loic Remy.

The deal is currently hinging on two points. Newcastle and QPR are yet to agree if the Magpies will have to pay all of Loic Remy’s wages or not for next season and a buy out clause has not been agreed so far.

Finally, we have no confirmation whether or not Loic Remy has given the green light for this deal. We have learnt that West Ham United have also made contact with QPR for the potential transfer of the former Marseille man.

So everything is sorted except for everything.

because he wants to go wheeling and dealing fact is no ones even come close to paying for him this summer and no one will, no one is going to risk millions on someone who may end up in jail

I wouldn't be so convinced. His relegation release clause still might make him a very interesting proposition, depending on the chance of him being charged, and then convicted. Out of interest, does anybody know how long he would go down if found guilty? Is it a matter of weeks, months or years typically?

does it make a difference? if we ever kept on a convicted rapist that would be my last at this club

EDIT: not that I'm suggesting any club would
