I don't know why people are bitter  A top quality proven striker signing for a team aiming for the league title and champions league. Ofcourse he'll get games, Drogba is only going to be bit part so at the very least he'll be coming on in league matches second half, cups and occasional champions league match. He's second on line and Costa will pick up the odd niggle.

His other choice was playing for Pardew where he'd be completely isolated in a tactically awful side with the sole ambition of finishing mid table. He might be impressed by the fans and stadium but that's not enough is it.

Not sure its bitterness, some people just think he's going to end up similar to Demba Ba at Chelsea, might be wrong.  I tend to agree that he's unlikely to play that much, Arsenal would have been a much better move.

Arsenal pulled out of any potential move

Why do people think playing for NUFC or QPR is a better move than playing for a top team abroad?

90% of our players would sign for QPR over us for more money.  People say shit like 'he turned US down for QPR' like we are European giants or something. We've signed multiple players from AJAX ffs.

Remy's done what most people would do - sign for the biggest club offering the most money - half a chance to establish himself and definitely pick up a trophy.

"I came for the medical tests and everything was fine and after that they wanted to be sure everything was fine with my heart,"

"They asked for a specialist for the heart and apparently the guy said they did not 100 per cent agree if I could keep going or had to stop football.

"I didn't understand because they knew before I came. I just told my agent if it is not happening it is because it is not for me.

"Now I am much better here at Chelsea, I'm very happy to be here and that's why I say everything happens for a reason.

"There are a lot of players with the same case as me. I don't know why the people think it is a big thing that can stop me playing football.

"I was more confused by Liverpool saying that I had medical problem because it is not fair.

"I have seen the best specialist in London and he has told me I can still play so it was not good from them.

"Even if they don't want to sign me, okay, but they don't have to put that in the newspapers because, then, all the other clubs after are afraid."

Tbf after you have agreed a transfer fee and personal terms and had only the medical left, there aren't many excuses left for the deal to collapse. They didn't officially state it was a failed medical, just that the deal was off. Whether some club insider leaked it to the press, we do not know.

Has played in 9 PL games scoring 2 goals.  Minuets wise he has only played 4 full 90 minuets (351 min).

He has also appeared 52 minuets in CL scoring 1 goal.

No many players that leave us become more than bench material (Enrique, Ba, Carroll at Lpool, Cabaye).

Debuchy is doing well at Arsenal although.  Has also played 9 PL games, scoring 1 goal but with 793 min ( almost 9 full games).

Was obvious Remy would barely feature when he signed for them, which tells you everything about his character I suppose.  I don't blame him for not signing for us but he's a talented player who really shouldn't be sat on the bench.  Ironically enough (since a deal fell through) he'd have been very useful for Liverpool this season.

I think we would probably all agree that Cabaye is the biggest talent going to waste. I genuinely never really rated Ba that highly, Enrique seems to be injured all the time and Remy only has himself to blame for always following the money.

I'm sure all these lads will be devastated they have left us like. We are really going places

This. This. This.

They are at bigger clubs. Making more money. Winning trophies. Challenging for big honours.

Some people here don't help the delusional Geordies thing. We have players joining us from Champions League clubs, league winning clubs and clubs with the finest history in the sport - largely because of money - then have the nerve to spout off about loyalty & mercenaries.

We just signed the captain of Ajax ffs.

Not sure how you can really challenge for honours when all you do is sit on the bench.  Remy would have been much better served going to Arsenal, but ultimately he's a money grabber first and foremost.

I think it's different looking at it from the outside.  I'm sure the egos of players like Ba and Remy mean they believe they're good enough to play and will be forcing their way into the teams.

We just signed the captain of Ajax ffs.

An injury prone player from a team who haven't won a decent trophy in 20 years.

vs. a team that hasn't won any trophies for 50. Rarely in Europe.

We are nothing compared to Ajax. Football financials is the only reason we can sign players from them.

None of the lads just sit on the bench though. They come off  and contribute. Demba Ba scored the winner in a CL QF. That's a bigger moment than anything he could've achieved for us.

You have to be ambitious in life, You go to the biggest club offering the most money. We would all do the same.
