Leaked fixtures seems to happen every year and they're wrong every single time. Usually doesn't happen over 2 weeks before they're meant to be announced though, so that's some dedication

Former Chelsea first team doctor Eva Carneiro rejected a £1.2m settlement from the club, documents submitted to her employment tribunal show.

Dr Carneiro is claiming constructive dismissal against the football club.

She is also bringing a separate legal action against Jose Mourinho, who left Chelsea in December, for alleged victimisation and discrimination.

Dr Carneiro's lawyer said the former Chelsea manager would face at least one day of questions at the hearing.

The case is anticipated to be heard over seven to 10 days at the London South Employment Tribunal in Croydon.

Dr Carneiro's barrister Mary O'Rourke QC told the hearing she is likely to take at least a day to cross-examine Mr Mourinho - now manager of Manchester United - who did not attend the first day of the case.

The tribunal was adjourned until 14:00 BST on Tuesday.

Legal papers submitted to the tribunal on behalf of Chelsea FC and Mr Mourinho showed Dr Carneiro had been "made an open offer of £1.2m to settle her claims".

The football club's legal team said it would show the club had taken these steps only because it believed that it was "in no-one's interests that this dispute should be determined through litigation".

"They are conscious that, whatever the facts of the matter, it is likely to be widely and incorrectly assumed that they could have avoided this coming tribunal," Chelsea's legal team added.

Dr Carneiro was criticised by the Portuguese and dropped from first-team duties after she went on to the pitch to treat Eden Hazard during Chelsea's opening Premier League game of the 2015-16 season against Swansea.

It meant that Chelsea were temporarily reduced to playing with nine men, which Mr Mourinho claimed had contributed to the resulting draw.

Afterwards he called Dr Carneiro and first team physio Jon Fearn "impulsive and naive".

Dr Carneiro did not appear on the bench again for first-team duties and left the club soon after.

But Chelsea's legal team argued that documents at the time showed Dr Carneiro did not consider Mr Mourinho's actions to be discriminatory.

"The purpose of the discrimination claim was to lift the statutory cap, in order to justify the claimant's extravagant compensation claim," the legal team argued.

The One player Newcastle actually bid for yesterday

As we reflect on the shambles that was the transfer window for Newcastle United, let’s look at the one player who Newcastle reportedly actually made not one, but two bids for yesterday, and I don’t blame you if you say: “who?”

According to various French sources, Newcastle made two bid for Caen midfielder Ngolo Kante; not Bafetimbi Gomis, not Jermain Defoe, not Tom Ince, not even Moussa Sow, some guy who plays in Ligue 2 in France.

Newcastle reportedly opened up the bidding proceedings with an offer of two million Euros and then thought: ‘why not splash the cash’ and increased their bid to 2.75 million Euros.

Both bids were rejected and as a result Newcastle ended up bringing in no players on transfer deadline day, but is Kante any good?

Kante plays in central midfielder for Caen and was signed from Boulogne earlier in the summer, so why the Magpies thought he would move on again so soon I have no idea.

The 22-year-old Frenchman who is Malian origin has gone from strength to strength at Caen in the short time he’s been there and has already netted a Ligue 2 goal this season.

He was named as Caen’s player of the month for August, won due to his high work rate and energy as a box-to-box midfielder – not exactly what Newcastle needed.

I’d usually now post a video from YouTube of Ngolo Kante showing off his skills, but one doesn’t exist!

Humiliation for Mourinho as Chelsea 'apologises unreservedly' to ex-team doctor Eva Carneiro after she threatens to expose embarrassing dossier of texts and emails to sex discrimination tribunal

Chelsea also gave Dr Carneiro an unreserved apology but crucially Mourinho refused to say sorry and grinned as he left the tribunal this afternoon.
