hithere
Yes we're crap and they are better than us obviously, they have beaten us three times in the last two seasons but it looks like the boom-bust cycle has turned around extraordinarily quickly this week. Wes Clown has been sent off for the third time this season, they've lost at home to Hull and they want Poyet out. Norwich, Stoke, West Ham and Palace all picking up points. Cardiff and Swansea will pick up points regardless of the result tonight. Back in the bottom three by midweek. I'm not bitter Who wants Poyet out? Karjala
Wouldn't say they are safe as houses, they have loads of away games against the top 6 still to play. Newcastle (a) D (3 pts) Hull (h) D (0 pts) Man City (a) L FA Cup 5th Round Arsenal (a) L League Cup Final Liverpool (a) L Palace (h) W Norwich (a) D West Ham (h) W Spurs (a) L Everton (h) L Chelsea (a) L Cardiff (h) W Man Utd (a) L Swansea (h) L That was my prediction, got 1 point more so far, got 24 points in total, their next 3 league games are killers plus they have the FA Cup & LC final in between. Pretty much agree with that, tho Palace at home wont be easy. The likes of Everton and Swansea are the sort of games they will sneak a win however. I think 10pts would keep them up. loki679
I'd actually fancy them to pick up a few points against the big teams. They generally do, it's their record against the dross (apart from us) that's got them in the clarts.

Ketsbaia
And just like that, things are bad again. City (a), Arsenal (a), Liverpool (a) their next three, not looking great.
TRon
How has Poyet shown he's any better than Pardew? Pardew's an average manager but actually managed to get a team promoted out of the Championship (Poyet also spent a fair bit, IIRC) and Poyet's not even kept the mackems up yet. He might have AP's number but that doesn't count for that much. This isn't me liking Pardew either, my real opinion of him is that he's pretty average and has obvious limitations. 4-0 with lesser players...FFS Again, that counts for little. Let's talk proper achievements. Why not talk about team shape, movement and tactical acumen? Neither you nor Foulwashola seem to want to get into the detail. madras
apparently it's a 4 game ban (for his 3rd red card) and misses the wembley trip. anyone confirm ?

alexf
Aren't those types of reds only 1 game normally? So add on the extra game and it should only be two. Still ridiculous that would be a 1 game ban offence normally and Remy gets three

Wullie
He's had a 3 game and a 1 game, with another rescinded. Should still be 4 games for 2 reds though I think.
Fugazi
Had a quick search on Twitter and some fella from the Mackem Echo says it's only a 2-match ban.
Wullie
Makes sense actually. One game ban with an extra for two reds.

Cajun
Poyet is class tbh. Shame his players like to get sent off every 2 minutes. I don't think it's much of a shame, like. TRC
Guest
One defeat and suddenly they're deep in the s**** again. 3 of their next 4 league games are Man City, Arsenal & Liverpool away. They could be adrift again by mid March. You see 'this is a must-win game' quite a lot but for them, yesterday really was, they needed a cushion going into those fixtures.
