Unless someone is off I can't understand why we're looking to sign a striker.

Aye we don't need a striker at all IMO. Is Austin even better than Cisse?

I dont think so tbh. Winger and a couple of new defenders are the main priority.

May as well accept the 15 million loss and hope he promotes them. His options as a first choice forward are all gone now.

He'll kick a fuss now or in January. Has a decent shot of going to the Euro's. We'll take Rooney, Sturridge & Kane. The other slot is up for grabs.

Welbeck is 2nd top scorer in European Qualifying

Sounds like he would fit our new style of play perfectly, seemingly has pace and intelligence to move the ball quickly forward.

Fits the bill that he can play in different positions too, would hope that he plays LB though, would hate to see Aarons miss out.

Will be injured, new slot available.

Les Ferdinand saying again that Austin will not go for less than £15 million.

Ok Les, we get the point, everyone knows he won't go for less than £15M but that is also why no one has bought him yet.

You can tell Ferdinand is still trying to keep him in the shop window by keep telling everyone that he wont go for less than £15M just to get Austins name back out there again.

From L'Equipe. Apparently he's a Portuguese defender.

Sounds like he could play anywhere on the left. However at 1.70 m he won't be helping out our vertically challenged defenders much. Anyhow we already have Aaron's to play LW don't we?

I have a feeling he's the option if Aaron's can't get tied down to a contract. Not sure why we haven't sorted that still.
