Kanj
I know the signings I'm on about are likely not to happen this window which is a shame bc I do think again this is a kick-on opportunity with new manager, new players, and ability to harness some positivity and optimism. We also have enough money to sign nearly anyone we've been linked with. It's frustrating.
The College Dropout
Agreed with Lascellas on loan. Looked crap whenever I saw him at Forrest too tbf. Needs a good season somewhere If he's not already better than Williamson then we've wasted our money. I don't see how another season out on loan will make him any better suited to playing at the top level. He didn't start the majority of games for Forrest. Think he got more game time after Pearce left. In any case, he hasn't "conquered" that division yet.
TRon
Classic "we tried " IMO. But we shouldn't be trying should we? It wouldn't be a sensible signing. It's not a serious bid IMO. It's a case of if we can flog Cisse and replace him with Austin with only a minimal difference in outlay, then we will go for it. Good business as it were. But as QPR are unlikely to budge far enough to meet our criteria, it will probably just die a slow death and we'll keep Cisse instead.

It's more than a suggestion when our very own scout admits it before he had kicked a ball for us.

TRon
He's 21, not a teenager so if he's not ready to play in the premier, chances are he's just not good enough and probably never will be. I've not seen him like so I'm just going off what people are saying here. He should be pushing for a first team place considering our central defenders are not exactly premier class in the first place.
SUPERTOON
Linked with Andros Townsend in The Times. £15 million pound fee putting us off though.
STM
15m That's just throwing money away. 7 max IMO
SUPERTOON
Reports suggest £12 million would get him. That Graeme Bailey fella who used to work for sky sports and goal, reckons we are still in for Thauvin as we have had signals that he is interested in coming here. KaKa
Is this £15 million fee just being attached to all English players or what? Townsend isn't even a first team player for Tottenham really. Bit ridiculous when you think about it. But I guess he gets picked for England.

Ameritoon
A Spurs fan told me a few weeks ago they wouldn't be happy with taking any less than 15m for him. They really only have three players who can play on the wing if you let him go and that's including Eriksen. Don't see them interested in selling unless it's stupid money. Disco
£15m? Wouldn't pay a penny over £14.8m.

Yeah, but I'm taking into account the "English premium". In reality he should be around £7 million, yes.

Parsley
Townsend's miles better than anything we have out wide at the moment, with only the possible exception of Aarons. We could probably do better for the price but I wouldn't be disappointed with him at all.

Is he currently in the first team? No. Then they are not going to get £15m for him. At some point he'll want a move and Spurs will probably have to sell at a lower price. You can put a premium price tag on a player who is starting every week, but if he's on the bench you can't really expect to keep him indefinitely.
