JH
When you're desperate, you can't afford to hang about. WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN: We should find the ST that we really want, ask what the club wants for him, pay it and sign him. WHAT WILL PROBABLY HAPPEN: We will keep looking around, make a couple of 'ok' bids and run out of time. Again.
Stottie
Douglas: I understand several other first teamers are available if the price is right. That there is the worry.
jdckelly
Thauvin, Tiote and De Jong out this window? Would be typically us to make a couple of signings yet weaken the squad overall. I'm not convinced Townsend is an upgrade on Thauvin, certainly not long term. Shelvey is a massive bonus but I hope we don't piss on all of the good work in the first part of the window. is it really weakening when those 3 aren't first choice to begin with? healthyaddiction
They're all in the matchday squad and have appeared fairly regularly form the bench, so it would weaken us.
Zero
De jong out is a good thing to be honest.
Collage
Siem back to Ajax to go re-take his role as captain? I wouldn't mind. He's a crock, has shown very little when he's played and we have more than enough #10 candidates.
Darth Crooks
Wouldn't particularly miss de Jong tbh
Karjala
Our performances this season mean theres no many I'd really give a shit about leaving. De Jong, Thauvin, Cisse, Tiote, Obertan, Riviere, Anita, Colback, Coloccini I wouldn't give a fuck if they left.
Sho Time
OK... so going off our historical injury problems and having Dr Death as head physio... Who plays in place of Coloccini now? If Shelvey or Saivet gets injured who plays CM? If Townsend signs and gets injured who plays on the wing?
Ketsbaia
I like the idea of De Jong but it clearly isn't working out and I doubt it will. Wish it worked out, though.

Interpolic
It's unfortunate that 2 De Jongs didn't make a right. Definitely done that one before.
Disco
French media saying Gouffran wont be joining Lille afterall due to his excessive wage demands and refusal to lower them. Got to love those bumper length contracts.

I tried to get a "LUUUUK" chant going for the two-lunged brother in his debut against the Makems... nowt doing.

As a squad I would say so. Especially if we have any serious injuries. I'm probably too optimistic but I think both Thauvin and De Jong will be useful for us. SUPERTOON
From Lacazette to Diouf!: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/big-spending-newcastle-table-transfer-7190422 Similar feel to the Thauvin transfer, he kept supposedly turning us down but we got him anyways. Is Diouf any good, was decent when I have seen him, only 1 or 2 times though.

Guest
From Lacazette to Diouf!: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/big-spending-newcastle-table-transfer-7190422 To be honest I was thinking after today we could probably do with someone like Jelavic to come off the bench for when Mitrovic needs a break, but still decent enough to start the odd game here and there and not stunt Mitrovic's development. Diouf seems to be of that profile. Lacazette though.
