nufcjb
I got absolutely pelted on here for suggesting Villa fans would call for Bruce's head before he gets them promoted. Four months later... https://www.villatalk.com/topic/15647-steve-bruce/?page=260 I haven't watched a Villa game on telly for a while but did take a few glances at their game against Brentford. But it's come quite as a surprise to me that so many of their fans want him gone already. I thought he had a good start but then started drawing games again. Didn't actually think that it was down to their style of play. Was quite worried for the upcoming Monday night game we have against them but reading that forum made me a bit more confident. Bruce being a former Brummie and him splashing a lot of money in January wouldn't have helped him either. Another 6-1 against Villa or another 5-1 against Bruce would be an epic Monday night game to remember.

nemtizz
Should have dropped the mic end of last season. Imagine they beat Sevilla, though.
Segun Oluwaniyi
Anyone think Ranieri might go? If they lose to Swansea next weekend, he will be sacked, imo. The regression of the team has been incredible. It is also incredible that they have spent all of this money and not fixed the main issue of them team, the complete inadequacy of their back four. All of them are rubbish. The team also seems emotionally ready for a change tbh.
Si
To be fair, there's at least 3 posters on here that want rid of Rafa. Crumpy schizophrenic?
Guest
Have Merson and Thompson explained how Hull won the match today? I would love it if they finished 17th sending Moyes & Allardyce down.

Kaizero
Leicester board has given Ranieri a vote of confidence. He'll be out soon then
Dinho lad
He seems to have lost the dressing room - maybe the players think last season's success wasn't down to him? (They were never going to think that when things are going well) Thinking back to BBC's sport personality of the year award, when they presented Team of the Year trophy, something was odd between the manager and the players. Guest
They've won football. They've done something most of them will never, ever achieve again. It must be hard naturally to motivate yourself after that when you'll never peak like that again.

The College Dropout
Saw earlier that Nigel Clough has turned down a move to Nottingham Forest (a club he played over 400 matches for), preferring to stay with Burton Albion. How excruciatingly embarrassing for the former champions of Europe. Says more about their situation with the owners than the club. It's like us getting turned down by McClaren. Figures 1-0 Football
Don't think they'll sack him also don't think they'll go down either. He'll resign at the end of the season.

How do you think teams like Liverpool(70s/80s) and Man U(90s/2014)managed to keep winning..? Yes, they are bigger clubs but its basically down to the manager and his staff...AND being well supported, when necessary, by Board backing. Liverpool under Shankly established the 'Boot Room' system and the board wisely promoted someone(Paisley)who was familiar with it when Shanks retired. Clough also kept his teams(with the exception of Leeds)in the heat of the action despite them being similar to Leicester in size/potential. Leicester under Ranieri were one-season wonders and its apparent that he doesn't have the motivational skills of the a/m managers who, despite the popular view on here, would have been JUST as successful today. It is also much harder to break into the Top 6 on a regular basis because these clubs have ridiculous amounts of money..only a club like Newcastle could do it and even then, only if backed by big, big money. Paully
Ranieri's pre-match interview yesterday was absolutely brilliant and you can't help but like him so I hope he turns it around!
