The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Silva leaves Fulham

Recommended Posts

Rodgers will inevitably move into the Managerial Consultant role soon. Can't do the job himself so he'll be the perfect choice for clubs to hire when they can't make their own mind's up. He'll be fine

Shocked they didn't wait and approach Ange again.

Maybe they did and under the terms of his pay off from Forrest he losses ££££ if he take up another job so soon?

Oof … Rodgers always came across as a David Brent-like wanker, but he’s won a lot of trophies with them.  Which may be about as difficult as looking at fish in a barrel, but still …

Hopefully O'Neill is well past it.

Listening to him on the radio lately he seems to of aged quite a bit. Can’t see him being anything more than a figurehead.

Martin O’Neill is well past it.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Roy Keane is given a chance given his connections to the club. Always got the feeling he had unfinished business in management.

He did do a very good job with the mackems for a bit, not so much afterwards.

Whether it’s worth his while financially over what he earns now as a pundit is another thing.

Martin O'Neil?! The guy was finished as a manager when he was with the mackems about 10 years ago!

I see that Shaun Maloney is his assistant, so it's clear that the Celtic board have only dragged MON out of his crypt to be used as a figurehead to calm the fans down (i doubt it will). Very reminiscent of Rangers appointing Barry Ferguson last season.

This is great news for Hearts

His methods had reached their expiry date when he left us, 15 years ago.

Older posters may recall at the time he then went to Sunderland, I said on here what would happen there. Which is exactly what happened.

This must surely just be a figurehead temporary ship steadying move.
