Elliottman
Stoke's next 3 games are: - Man Utd, A - Huddersfield, H - Watford, H Assuming tonight is a loss that's 6 possible points for them in the games after. Considering we're going to lose next week if they beat Huddersfield we're absolutely f***ed. Wont we be joint on points?

timeEd32
Happy with that. There’s a lot about them that reminds me of our 08-09 squad that seemed too good on paper to go down.
Guest firetotheworks
Aye, Stoke are definitely in the too good to go down category, but their goal difference and goals conceded stats are making me think that they might just go down this season like. It would be a bit of a weird one considering some of the players they have.
Greg
If we fail to finish above Stoke with lambert I'm done with football They have far more ability in their squad than we do, so it wouldn't exactly be a surprise. Crap manager or not.
STM
About as good as we could hope for. I think it depends on how it starts for him at Stoke. They have essentially replaced Mark Hughes with Mark Hughes MK2.

Dr.Spaceman
Basically it's as bad if not worse than any appointment we've made in the last 25 years. He's a miserable dementor.
Guest firetotheworks
It's fair to say that judging by the Stoke messageboard, the majority are absolutely gutted and think that it'll send them down.

TheHoob
Had a quick browse on the Oatcake forum, mad how many of them thought they'd be getting Rafa, even a few claiming to be ITK saying things were in motion for it to happen.
ElDiablo
Stoke have got decent fixtures tbh. A load of winnable home games.
afar
Seems like a terribad appointment, but he did improve Wolves considerably last year when he took over, probably doesn't need to be outstanding to keep Stoke up. Negative though, is that that squad is old full of players who are playing for not much more than a pay day, it's unblanaced and Lambert is a long term disaster of an appointment, might well save them this year but will probably drop next. samptime29
Appointment seems odd, but will have to see how it pans out. Huddersfield, Watford, Brighton all at home in coming games. They really need to win 2 from those. If they don't, it's going to be difficult for them (only won once away this season).
Dr.Spaceman
Can only see more of their players downing tools tbh. It'll only take one negative result against one of those teams around them to remove any ounce of positivity from the new manager bounce.
