Rangers and Celtic fans so fickle. Would love Hearts to break the stranglehold

Scottish football is at the lowest ebb in my years as a footballer supporter. Remember the days when the likes of Gazza, Laudrup and Di Canio were up there.

Will be interesting to see if Hearts can keep it up, and whether their model - which will doubtless become some sort of feeder for the Brighton/Bloom empire - is going to change the landscape.

I remember last year Aberdeen started like a house on fire and then had the mother of all implosions mid season. But last season Celtic were a good side for the most part and Rangers were competent enough to routinely best the rest of the dross in the league without much fuss.

Both Old Firm teams look atrocious right now, Celtic are a club at war with itself whose manager has checked out and Rangers have been one the biggest laughing stocks in football for the past decade. I don't know if it's a season too early for Hearts as Bloom/McInnes have barely got their feet under the table but the Old Firm are certainly there for the taking

Not surprised Martin has gone. He can get back to pumping Lucy Pinder at least

Apparently he focuses too much on the foreplay and struggles to create any meaningful penetration

Kevin Muscat is the early favorite, seems a bit daft, does Scotland not produce managers anymore ?

Maybe it's just his turn to be the token ex-Rangers player in the betting for the bookies' easy money

Luton seems to be having a real tough time of it. They just sacked their manager after a really poor start to the season, especially compared to the expectations before the season.

When you’ve made a terrible appointment best thing to do is acknowledge it and get them sacked, so I don’t blame Rangers, now that Sunday is done and the 3 points are in the bag I’d recommend Forest do the same.

Generally I think the 'you've got to give a manager time' concept is a trite mantra. You give the wrong manager time it can set you back for a very long time and undo a lot of good work. Where Forest are is kind of where we were post Sir Bobby and Keegan. They may not get back to this level if they gave the wrong manager a year or more like we did.

Bad managers aren't going to come good however much time they're given.

I can’t see anyone turning Forest’s season around. They won’t get relegated but I think they’ll not finish above 15th. Rafa, I’d be happy to see him back in the premier league

They've got good enough players for a top-10, though they aren't going to get that under Ange.

Rafa waiting in the wings for Forest allegedly.

Be another absolutely appalling appointment

Well known Everton troll started that rumour on Twitter.

It’s the type of job Benitez takes. A job where he works for an idiotic owner and is on a hiding to nothing. Made shit choices his entire career.

He'd be amazing for them, would love to see it personally. He can take Nunos defensive foundations and build on it with actual quality players. He's ambitious and if he joins can see them going far in Euripe this season.
