Didn't realise the chat was in this thread.

Aston Villa approach has been poor for PSR. Said it January, it's not good for PSR if every summer you signing a player for £35m, then selling them for £35m next summer when it doens't work to enable more signings, as with all the signing on fees etc. it's net equal at best. Monchi is also a known wheeler dealer, that leaves squads in poor bloated states once he goes. Just look at the business in summer 2024, so much nothingness.

Onana only one that's played reguarly and he's been hit and miss with injuries.

They have got some stars in their XI, but when Emery goes it could look even worse as they well need to sell Rogers to enable a squad revamp.

Christ, I know there are some kids in there but that’s so many players. I guess it makes sense given they were in the Champions League.

Pau Torres is their best defender or at least up there with Konsa.

The Malen transfer is weird.  He’s totally unfancied. He looks dangerous to me whenever I see him.  But Emery would rather play McGinn in an attacking role. Then they go and get Jadon Sancho too.

Torres is too often very flimsy defensively. I'm sure there were times last season where certain portions of the Villa fan base had begun to grow a little impatient with him. Whilst he can look elegant and assured on his day, Konsa is the much more consistent and thus better defender imo.

Give him all week to prepare the team, then sack him today. Brilliant.

*aye, they don’t play til Monday, but point stands.

Probably due to Emery being under pressure, and if he doesn’t get a result this weekend, they might go in for the replacement they want.

I’m going to guess that they are going in for Nuno.
