Guest Dontooner
Pullis is still fucking mint over pardew. Personally there will be no way in hell Ashley will pay Pullis's compensation fee. The same reason why he hesitate to sack Pardew.

Wallace
I would be amazed if Ashley appointed Pulis. It would mean abandoning everything they have put into place so far. Pulis is too confrontational and would not accept players foisted on him nor the kind that we have been buying (and Pulis' own buying record is not great and he spent loads of money on average players at Stoke). I cannot imagine him to be willing to constantly praise Ashley in public and of course, he would want far too much money. The main thing in his favour is his record of never having had a team relegated which would fit the bill if that is all Ashley wants but other than getting a team organised, he does not have a record of developing young players and selling them on for a profit. bowlingcrofty
Congrats to Alan Pardew, yesterday we managed to become only the 92nd league club to make it to double figures for goals scored in 2014.
Ikon
Don't want fucking Pulis! He's not what this club should be looking for even though he does quite well with lesser teams aiming to stay in and around the middle of the table.

Klaus
the very thought of Pulis man. Would have been unthinkable a few years ago, but the way we are heading, is a distinct possibility.
JH
Pulis has done a tremendous job at Palace, but he'd be so the wrong manager for NUFC. He should stay where he is.

He has done a tremendous job lately, no doubt, excellent form. But Pardew has gone on the same type of form. Noway we should bring him in. I'll never forget watching Stoke over these years, playing the ball backwards just so they can lump it forward. Guest
Figures like that for clubs like Stoke & Sunderland get distorted though compared to established Premier League clubs. First they have to spend a big chunk just to try and stay up because they don't have many Premier League players, they don't have that many salable assets just to try and maintain their place, then another load just to try and stay clear of the bottom 6. loki679
Stoke probably received about £200m in TV money in that time mind.

Anyway you slice it though it's a hell of a lot if money to just "survive". They have to though. They have to pay over the odds for players to make them go there. It's not like us where our name and reputation can attract players. Do you think people like Cabaye & Ben Arfa for example, would have contemplated them over us for £9m combined? Not a chance, so they have to pay over the odds to attract people.
Guest
Stoke have made just £16.5m in transfer fees since coming up. We made more than that in January. Goes back to my point that they have no salable assets. I know you could hold Pulis accountable for that, but like I said, they've had to have pretty much 3 waves of transfers just to stand still in the Premier League. They've only spent over £8m three times, a lot of their signings are for £3m-5m just to give them a squad that's able to compete.
