Village Idiot Posted September 16, 2013 Share Posted September 16, 2013 Well, we're trying some new stuff but the players still aren't too comfortable. Best part is that we're pressing further up the pitch again; we try some more direct stuff (that's a couple of headers already from open play in 6 competitive games this season), but it doesn't always come off. He wants to put more pace into our attacking play but you can see the players aren't still used to it and we aren't as fluid as a result. It's still early days, though. Yeah only 4 goals and 2 assists in 6 league games spearheading an attack that has produced 16 goals and gained 16 points (he started on the bench in the only game they didn't win), just terrible. Could have been more clinical but by no means has he been awful. Wish he was staying He's starting to link up well with Reus and Mkhitaryan (who is looking like a fantastic addition), if the players would just be a bit more patient then Dortmund could challenge any team in the world. It will be really hard for Dortmund to find a striker with as a good all-around game as Lewy, his link-up play is world class and I don't think they'll be able to find a replacement that brings as much to the table as he does.
