Any rumours who they're trying to replace him with? Or just stick with what they've got

They got that Illarramendi from there at the start of the season. Basically replacing the old with the new.

Incidentally, Modric's done surprisingly well as a central midfielder for them this season.

 Modric, Khedira and Illa should be enough to cover, obviously not as good, but Illa won't get better if he doesn't get more playing time. Casemiro has also been a lot on the bench and impressed during the pre-season even if I think he's just another Denilson (ex-Arsenal).

None of them are good enough really, they will buy someone.

There is no one as good at what he does in the whole world. In that position there is no one that can do that job the same way. It's like Busquets. You just can't replace them.

Obafemi Martins linked with West Ham on loan in January.

3 successive relegations in English football?

In whose world is he meant to be in his 20s still??

In his early forties according to a Nigerian student I teach (knows his younger brother apparently). Says Kanu is in his mid-forties too.

From Wikipedia:

Full name Nwankwo Kanu[1]

Date of birth 1 August 1852 (age 161)

The Toronto Star claims Jermain Defoe has agreed his move to Toronto and will become the highest paid player in MLS history.

That's what it'd take to get him to play for Toronto.

Can't believe Sunderland turned down £5m for someone they ain't going to use and whose contract expires his summer. They won't be getting close to that this time round.

What Dortmund sees in Ji though...

Could try and flog Dortmund Cisse if they're looking for a forward who doesn't score.
