Dr Colossus
Barcelona close to signing ter Stegen from Monchengladbach. Courtois also an option amongst a couple of other less-strongly linked options.

Village Idiot
Barcelona close to signing ter Stegen from Monchengladbach. To be honest, we've "been close to signing" him since the summer, seen nothing to suggest the situation's changed. Would love him here though. Reina seems suchs a lazy and short termist option... The College Dropout
Aye, don't Madrid view their youth set-up as something they do to provide players for the rest of the league/divisions and the signings end up paying for the whole thing anyway. When you consider all the good but not world class players they've had come through the system it starts to make sense.
maybe_next_year
Carlton Cole rejoins West Ham United on a three-month contract, having previously left the Premier League club at the end of last season. The 30-year-old is expected to feature in the squad to play Manchester City on Saturday with striker Andy Carroll still overcoming injury. Cole played a friendly against Charlton last week to prove his fitness to manager Sam Allardyce and an agreement has now been reached that suits both parties." Ste
He might prefer the London life but I hope we're in for him as you'd like to think we are a bigger draw than Fulham. Would be a terrific option for us.

The College Dropout
Zaha is still pretty much a "local lad". From what i've heard he mostly hangs around the type of places most 20 year olds hang out from Croydon. e.g. not China Whites and other known London footballer haunts. Yeah, you will see him around Croydon, and no one really bothers him at all, or gets overly excited, as it's pretty standard.

Deuce
Outside of a couple good seasons for Standard Liege and some stellar performances for the national team, he's had a pretty forgettable career. Plagued by injuries though too. Thought he might try to make the jump to MLS. We'll see how he does at QPR.
Guest Haris Vuckic
How has a player like Onyewu managed to represent some of the biggest clubs in Europe man. He barely pulled on a Milan shirt to be fair but I suppose he had a good shot at Lisbon, Baffling.
