Interpolic
Great last week. Dreadful today. Did his hiding act today. Who didn't? Is that not the point though, that he never really stands out?
Wullie
He's your classic underdog player. Looks great racing round like a blue arsed fly after better players than him. His delivery's canny tbf. So's Ryan Taylor's.
toontenacity
I like him, don't understand the stick he gets on here. Very tidy, rarely messes up, good defensively and can every now and then chip in with an assist (like today and Chelsea). Certainly the lease of our issues. He, Abeid and Sissoko should be our midfield

triggs
Great last week. Dreadful today. Did his hiding act today. Who didn't? Is that meant to be a fucking excuse?
ponsaelius
He's so 'good defensively' there was a massive space in our midfield on a number of occasions as better players drifted away from him and Tiote.
TRon
He'd be a good 5 a side player. Very decent in small spaces. Not much use on a full side pitch unfortunately other than dead ball situations where we never score from.
Tiresias
He's not a bad player really he's just a sign of limited ambition. He's a bottom of the premier league, top of the championship sort. Occaisionally puts in a good shift but ultimately not good enough to produce much from midfield.
Hanshithispantz
Just seen the "Rob Lee with less goals" comment. Fuck off, man.
Guest firetotheworks
Haha, what the fuck. Someone with eyes said that?
Hanshithispantz
Loki's right like I don't even think he's a bad player, that would be daft, but he's a far cry from the commanding central midfielder you need. He fills in a role because we have no-one better - maybe Abeid but we'll have to see more of him. I see Colback as more of a standard box to box central midfielder (Rob Lee with less goals) rather than a tiote-esque DM. I definately think he has a role in this team because he is decent if not spectacular both defensively and offensively, which is useful in a 3 man midfield with a good DM and a more able offensive midfielder like Sissoko. What we need is a Tiote replacement in addition to Colback. Just bringing back old news really but I've skimped the football forum lately. In any case it's complete horse shite. Darth Crooks
Be effective if he had an extra yard but he's often left chasing shadows. His vision and passing range is good but against teams with the tempo of arsenal, the games pass him by.
loki679
Nothing player. If the team does alright he looks decent, if the teams does shit he looks shit. That's because he contributes fuck all apart from making up the numbers. He's like a bland, tasteless sauce.

Danh1
He is average at best, because he puts himself about against the likes of Chelsea and Man City the thick cunts in our support are hailing him as a class player and great signing. Thickest fan base in Football.
joeyt
He did play well last week in my opinion in the second half. He was pretty awful yesterday
Skeletor
He's not a good player, although he did play well last week. Unbelievable how we can go from Cabaye to Colback and the majority of supporters lap it up like there's not a problem there.
NEEJ
He runs and runs and gives 100% and he's a Geordie and he was a nice lad at school so for me he's been our player of the season so far.
r0cafella
Can somebody explain to me how someone who excels at nothing can be classed as a good player?
Wilson
For me he's still got a hell of a lot to do to convince me he's a good player and not just an absolute little c***. Then when he's done that, I'll remember we replaced Cabaye with him and still think he's average at best, and an absolute little c***.
Klaus
We replaced cabaye with him because he was available on a free, simple as. We would have had no interest at all otherwise imo.
sempuki
Will no doubt get dogs abuse from the mackems next week. Would be nice to see him put his finger to his lips after he scores our fifth. Then I woke up.

Incredible that we've never scored more than 1 against them in the 7 times we've faced them under Pardew. So bad.
buzza
Watched the match again and Colback was surprisingly good, didn't lose the ball hardly and you can't blame him for not being able to get very close to arsenal's slick passing movements. Compare him to chieck, who lost the ball a lot and had everyone's heart in mouth when he tried his ballerina pirouttes routine.... Jeezuz He isn't a player who is going to impress us but if you watch him closer he really does help us tick and does everything well (but not greatly), I couldn't fualt the lad tbh. if he was 6 inches taller he would be majestic...Honest! buzza
Compare him to the other midfielders we had on the pitch and he was head and shoulders above both tiote and Gouffran, sammy does other things (he looked good taking on their defense at times) so isn't a great comparison.
