Jack Colback (now playing for Anstey Nomads)

Recommended Posts

Just released his episode of Undr the Cosh and his voice is as irritating as he was when he played for us.

Not listened to it all yet but he did get the obvious question of "which was the bigger club" correct, at least, so he gets like 1% redemption for that.

You know what, this season has been fucking brutal, since the summer window opened it feels like we've been taking bodyblow after bodyblow from the football Gods for having the audacity of trying to establish ourselves as a perennial European challenger. Barça will probably end our season in the next 2 weeks and scraping into the Conference League is likely as good as it'll get in the league ahead of a summer window where we'll have to undergo a significant rebuild.

However....

Seeing this thread bumped again makes me so grateful for where we are right now and where we've been the last 4 years. Because just seeing this cunts name invokes harrowing memories of the pit of misery that this club was 10 years ago. Awful players who didn't give a fuck, incompetent clown managers, a parasitic, absentee landlord owner, Sports Direct banners graffiti'd all over SJP, shitey wonga shirts, derby defeats, regular 4/5/6-0 pumpings, dumped out of the cups in the first round, fan apathy, fan protests and the inevitable relegation

So yeah, thanks for reminding me of how shite we really used to be Jack, happy retirement you mackem cunt

100% right.

The name Colback is a reminder of what a fucking mess we were only a few years ago.

Now, we look forward to a last 16 Champions League tie against Barcelona.

That podcast is out now if anyone fancies subjecting themself to it [emoji38]

It was alright. Bit odd they made no reference whatsoever to Pardew or McClaren.

Haven’t checked on RTG, but I suspect a couple of his comments will have caused  absolute fewm, and if there wasn’t already a marra fatwa on his head, there is now.

Trying to flick through cos I am quite curious about a local scoring against us, making the move etc. Has a few digs at Sunderland but also says his favourite game was beating us - surprised he'd say that even if true.

Forest fans in comments love him.

I tried to do the same but gave up very quickly trying to find those parts. The part I clicked on he said (or I think he said) he was never really that bothered about supporting Newcastle or Sunderland so it wasn't that much of a big deal to him leaving Sunderland for us.

I missed that part but it ties with what he says later. He talks of the move as the right career move and being where his family lived rather than moving to his boyhood club.

I was in the same class as him. He’s massively downplaying the supporting either team. Unless games at Sunderland’s academy coincided with NUFC games, he pretty much went to every NUFC game, especially midweek games in Europe. I also remember that he went to the games against Spurs and Chelsea in the FA Cup the year we got to the semi-final.

He did get a lot of stick for playing for them, but again he downplays this in the podcast, he was clear that our academy just wasn’t good enough at the time, hence why he went to them.

We finally have an explanation for that fucking Colback shirt.

Going from the Ben Arfa video to this is sadistic.

Translation: ‘The manager told me [at least three weeks before the end of the window...you can even look back in this very thread] that I wasn't part of his plans and would play with the U23s if I didn't leave. I had a good offer and turned it down because I thought I'd fight for the place that I'd been told I didn't have. And then come the end of the window it turned out that the manager was... telling the truth!

He's a bit dopey.

If people started saying he looked like a Jack in the box and stuff then fair enough, except no people are saying he looks like he's addicted to crack and if he is we should give him more
