Wisdom Body
In fairness, Saylor compete absence apart.. Cabella had a mare for that goal.. At least Bellamy seems excited he can finally leave the studio with his paycheck and go home. The defending in the last phase of that move was nothing short of tragic. 4 players sucked towards the ball, Buckley completely unmarked on the right=hand side. Absolutely pathetic. We did that every time they attacked throughout the game. Everyone would swarm towards one man and leave acres of space for everyone else. Marking at its absolute worst. The result when your entire preparation for the game consists of hammering it into your players' heads to show "passion", "get at 'em", "attack them". Headless chickens everywhere. This shower actually outplayed us, one of only two times Sunderland will be able to say that this season.

joeyt
The referee wasn't the reason we lost today, but it was ridiculous how Cattermole wasnt yellow carded in the first minute
LRD
The referee wasn't the reason we lost today, but it was ridiculous how Cattermole wasnt yellow carded in the first minute He always does that, knowing he will get away since it's the first minute. Decky
Our lot didn't know how to deal with the occasion. Even Colo made a stupid tackle to get booked. We really miss a character like Shearer in these derbies. Doesn't help having a terrible manager obviously.

Preparation is John Carver showing them old derby DVDs. Bet they don't watch 5-1, would show the manager up too much.
Klaus
Idiot on the radio saying that the 'forrun' players don't know what it means to the fans etc. Our two best players today were sissoko and perez ffs. I don't think motivation for the players is a problem, it's the negative tactics and frauds such as Gouffran that hold us back.
Decky
You'd never see a dirty nasty foreigner stick his heed into the post like Taylor that's for sure. He'd die for the shirt that lad.

Cronky
I can understand Pardew wanting to go for the win after the midweek disappointment and his own poor record against Sunderland, but our defence always looked shaky when dealing with their breakaways, and we were getting tired and less and less likely to recover if a move broke down. Basically, he gambled and lost. On the plus side, Perez did very well yet again, and Dummett looked more confident in his use of the ball (ie not just banging it down the line)

Even if you are enough of a fool to still support this club, there are literally no positives. Our seasons over now- not that we were targeting a successful on anyway. Don't waste your energy anymore man.

M4
That was a great moment in the game, to be honest. A show of courage and a quality clearance too. But it should be just moments in the game not what our whole gameplan is based on.

cp40
seen fans on facebook being satisfied that we got through the derby without a hammering. What a disgusting embarrassment Ashley and Pardew have turned this club into.
