Kinda wish there just wasn't a Bellingham tbh. Seems like a total arsehole and despite delivering some big moments I can't remember him ever standing out for England performance-wise. Basically Rooney but with added crotch-grabbing.

Woah there. Rooney was brilliant a lot of times for England, no? Unless I’m just only focusing on his earlier years.

I actually liked Bellingham when he played deeper. But I think that ship has sailed. Especially in this current setup.

I dunno, I was being a bit flippant. I wasn't an avid England fan for the majority of Rooney's time but my recollection of him is being dependable in qualifiers, then offering next to nowt in the tournaments other than Euro 2004, but still being immovable from the team. Think he got like three tournament goals after initially setting the world alight in Portugal.

I just hope Tommy doesn't listen. We just played the best game of football with these so called also rans.

Honestly hate that a players club can influence their reputation so much despite performance on the pitch.

Rodgers linked play amazingly well, I don't see Jude Nolan being that selfless. Gordon ran himself into the ground something foden/mount just can't do.

The back two look very impressive (Konsa Guehi) and they gave good balance together. Some games will call for bdb, as his height and physicality matches better against certain strikers.

It’s kinda nice that there aren’t many managers in world football that will give less of a shit about what others think than Tuchel. It’s a double-edged sword, but might currently work in his favour.

Genuinely an interesting number of decisions to make about this squad.

England must be favourites for the world cup, we have amazing players in every position.

I'll be shocked if Spain don't win it to be honest. The favourites are Spain, Argentina and Portugal imo.

I wonder how long it'll be before a non European/South American team wins the (Men's) World Cup.

One of these countries has a population of 1.5 billion.

The one leading the group has a population of 2.9 million

Might be a while.

Beautiful scenes, Tuchel leaning into his ayurvedic sensitivities. Bellingham comes across as a proper arsehole and doesn't have anywhere near the level of talent and impact on a team to even slightly warrant it.
