He's the Norwich city of strikers. He’s never played for a decent team in the PL tbf. Would be interested to see how he’d get on with a team not battling relegation under a crap manager. M4
Always pleasing to see him do well. At international level as well! Will always check the scorers for Fulham to see if he's managed to get one.
KaKa
Think he just needs to be in the right team. In a team that doesn't need him to press really aggressively defensively, and which creates chances for him consistently, with a good number of crosses coming in, I think he'd get goals in the prem. When he was with us we sat deep all game and didn't create chances. At Fulham in the prem Parker had the team passing the ball around and wanted someone more mobile upfront, and I think also wanted a striker that pressed more. Could he do a job in Brentford's current setup for example, playing the role Toney does? Edited October 24, 2021 by KaKa
Superior Acuña
To be fair he got 9 for us in our relegation season and new in league as a kid, and 11 for Fulham in first of their relegation seasons - that's not too bad for playing in shit teams. Last season was obviously a failure.

He's scored well everywhere he has been to be honest. He has always been in a relegation battle in the PL and still got a reasonable haul of goals or in the championship. This season he is rinsing it. I hope he does well in his career and I expect he will.
Manxst
Most media sources say the fee was £20m or just over.
David Edgar
He's a proper Dwight Gayle. Ace in the Championship, but Dwight Gayle in the Premier League.

Not saying he’d be a world beater, but he’s miles ahead of Gayle. The stats back that up too, at PL level.

nufcjb
Think he'll be more.regarded as a Fulham legend than a Newcastle one. Shame really. Love the bloke until this day.
Karjala
Championship: Gayle: 59 in 100 Mistro: 57 in 96 Premiership: Gayle 26 in 139 Mitro 24 in 104 Both Championship players.

I'd probably argue Mitro can hold the ball up better than Gayle, and Gayle goes more anonymous throughout 90 mins. But stats are hard to ignore, they are very much the same which is great at one level, not good enough at the other.
xLiaaamx
Not sure 2 less goals in 35 less games can really be put as "The same" tbh

toontownman
Always liked mitro. Thought it was more an attitude clash that saw him moved on rather than talent? We can do better now but gladly would have had him back. Offered much more than Gayle imo.

GideonShandy
To be fair it wasn't just an attitude clash that earned him the "Misstrovic" tag, or caused him to keep getting sent off or to go down clutching his face at the slightest excuse. He's clearly matured a lot since Rafa moved him on.

Dr.Spaceman
I'd rather have the guy who scores 1 in 233 than the guy who scores 1 in 289 like. Also rather have the guy who does what his manager tells him to.

Aiston
Didn't Mitro end his Newcastle career by being suspended for more games than goals he scored for us? Edited October 26, 2021 by Aiston
