Never rated him. Except for rating him better than Eliott. Which is like being the nicest guy in prison.

Got the feeling he pleasantly surprised most of us saving Bruce's bacon so often last season, taking over the Dubs mantle, but was never convinced. We shouldn't have d!cked around giving people chances and he's clearly inferior to Dubs, didn't expect him to play but now he's shot his bolt he'll be out, two points down the drain too late probably.

dubs is able to quickly get his focus back but darlow's loses his confidence for the rest of the game.

Absolutely disgusting performance from him today. One thing Howe got worng was picking this clown over Dubravka. Haven't seen the goals back on TV yet but inside the ground I thought he could have done better with all 3.

This is really not his level. Decent Championship keeper with the odd howler and loves to butter fingers the odd goal in now and again.

 

Don't actively dislike him but this nonsense about injured first choice keeper not going straight back in after return from injury because the other keeper did okay shit needs to stop.

 

The thing is Darlow hasn't exactly done okay this season either so no excuse him starting today.

The total non commitment from the cross for their 2nd was Matz Sels-esque. Hope Dubravka stays fit because the rest of them are shite. I had high hopes for Woodman but he looked totally out of his depth in the first few games. I'd have Gillespie as no 2 atm.

I'm not sure that the goalkeeper will have been top of Howe's thinking up until now.

 

But it's obvious Darlow isn't the answer, not just for his gaffes and his poor distribution, but for how he doesn't command his defence. He's ineffective at crosses and free kicks, too slow to react in open play.

 

If we get relegated, it'll probably be by just a few points. A decent keeper saves you those few points that make all the difference - and that's not Darlow.

There was a point in the game where the ball got played through, our defender was clearly getting there first up the near the centre circle and out of nowhere the purple power ranger comes flying into view and totally fucks things up

And then the rest of the game he let that moment get into his head and glued himself to the line. I swear this happened last year. As soon as Dubs is avaliable again he just starts falling apart under the pressure.
