Yorkie
Brilliant news if true. He's way above that level if his late-season form is anything to go by. With him and potentially Aarons on the wing we've got impressive pace and width for that level. That picture of him from the Palace game really is fantastic. SEMTEX
Chronicle reckons we might even offer him an improved contract. Can't see that happening. if they do its to get rid of the buyout clause Andros, have an extra tenner a week, for your loyalty. Just don't read the small print. hakka
Really pleased if this is true. It signs that major pieces of our plan is falling in to place. If he stays it puts pressure on others to show loyalty and belief for the Rafa vision and us fans. He will tear the Championship up. He's done nothing but gone up and up in my estimation since he came to us.

Leazes_End_Mag
After Rafa, he was the only person at the club that I was remotely bothered about losing. Fantastic news if true.
nortoon
More important than any signing we could make. He seemed fantastic towards the end of last season.
BlueStar
Chronicle reckons we might even offer him an improved contract. Can't see that happening. Guess it depends on if Rafa really does have control of footballing matters. If he has a pool of cash for transfers, it'd be a no-brainer to use a bit of it to keep him rather than selling and replacing him.

KaKa
Looking back it's so funny how the rap on this guy was that he had no end product. Poor guy was just rotting away in Spurs reserves, which is quite crazy really. Really chuffed for him in how well he ended up doing for us. Would love for him to stay and have a phenomenal season and help get us back up, and he could then hopefully continue to star for us in the prem. Dr Venkman
Tbf his end product is patchy and he needs to learn to make better decisions; but we'd been watching Sissoko out wide for years so Townsend was a revelation.
Gallowgate Toon
His end product has been good so far, for a winger. He impacted half of his games here with a goal or assist and his first few matches he was evidently very rusty & lacking in fitness.
TRon
I think his end product is pretty good compared to what we've been used to, his main drawback for me is he tends to lose the ball a lot when he's taking players on. But that comes with the territory for his type of player.
