Panic over already then?

The opposite in fact. Rafa sees there as being three types of teams in the division:

                          1                                                      2                                            3

“The top sides have a lot of money. The other teams are spending too, but we will see what we can do.”

1. Very rich clubs who can spend.

2. Other clubs who will spend.

3. Us, who aren't spending.

sharpening the torches and lighting the pitchforks as we speak.

rafa basically saying we cant afford a lot of the the quoted transfer fees for out first choice targets and are struggling to sign anyone.... but that we'll keep trying as there are cheaper players further down the list.

Tbh, I thought this.  It is a bit of a dig imo.

Luke Edwards and Craig Hope seem to actually enjoy spreading negative stories about the club.

Don't forget the Grim Ryder, who loves to put his doom and gloom on anything positive.

Edwards especially. He's been like that since he got banned from the club. Constant negative twist on everything and the first to try and start the hysteria on twitter.

Tbh Craig Hope was usually the first to break anything about Rafa since he's been here.

We've also heard similar quotes from all our managers in every transfer window about how difficult the market is. Basically sounds like he has been told we will get players in, however the reality is usually very different.

They are making shit up man. Rafa literally said yesterday that they are still confident.

What else is he going to say?

Rafa's comments are helpful. He sounds almost sympathetic with the club for struggling to get the deals due to the crazy market. Regardless of the history of the club, it's never been as crazy transfer price wise and I can understand how a transfer budget of £70m suddenly feels like it can barely get you 3 average players in the Premier League. I think the club has to swallow the financial disappointment and get the right players in, even if it means limited spend for next summer. We can't go in to this season without several quality additions and expect to survive. Rafa is great but he's not a miracle worker.

I still think on top of the above the club is under performing in getting players in, but I guess Rafa isn't fully blaming them which helps us in our chances of keeping him here for now.

He could show his annoyance like he did in January. Like someone else said, he seems to understand the lack of progress, rather than be angry at It.

He never showed his annoyance during the window itself.
