He's got a decent record albeit being total clogger and pretty shite imo, however perspective is needed. We are a championship club. Need to buy players who will be half decent backups to those starting 11. As the fat lad in the fourth said, we need two different squads. Made me laugh He gives us another option and should make a perfectly serviceable backup to Mitro. Not one to get the heart racing but a decent enough signing nonetheless. I also imagine he's no where near our first choice but one that fits our profile so our hand was perhaps forced. This will be think kind of signing that either proves people wrong or the type where in 5 months time he plays in an away game and you think "oh, he's still here" imo. Obviously Rafa has confidence in Gayle, Mitrovic and Perez, I am assuming a loan out for Armstrong. While Murphy isn't one to get the pulses racing we need a squad and different options. Have never heard of D.M before but his goalscoring record seems fine and some good goals from the youtube comp. He could be out the door first day of promotion...and thats fine. Armstrong on loan is a good solution....find a club where he can play 30+ games this season. Then he might replace D.M next season as back up for the first team.
