Wilson
Get Amanda on the blower stiff, I've had enough of this Ashley carry on.
Zero
My guess is Ashley simply want Rafa gone after this season and so he is saving money for the next manager (empty promise of course)
Scoot
We always make out we're totally skint. Ashley tries to make out we're the poorest club in premier league history.
Hhtoon
We're gonna look fucking stupid if he turns in to the next Salah after a year of Rafa's tutelage.

Teasy
Why does that complicate anything? If they're willing to sell him now for £30m (inevitably paid over 5-6 years anyway) then what's the difference between that and us paying £5m loan fee now with option to buy at £25m at the end of the season? taxfree
So basically no need to clarify. Our deal is in reality nothing but a loan.
Dr.Spaceman
What does 'first option' actually mean? All we have to do is match what someone else is willing to pay and they have to accept ours first? Surely that means fuck all if Bayern etc are in for him.

Guest chopey
First option in our case means first offer which is about 50% of what the selling club actually wants
Ketsbaia
I've never understood 'first option'. The selling club would have no reason to be loyal to us, we don't get a special price, Kenedy isn't forced to choose us. Nothing.
Teasy
Basically only means that a club can't come in and start negotiating with Chelsea and the first we hear about it is well into discussions. They have to give us the chance right from the start to give them a offer they can accept before any other club gets involved in discussions. For a normal club that actually competes its useful as you can't get blind sighted and get in late when the player might have already decided to go somewhere else. But for us I really can't see how its even relevant, it would only work in situations where we can cast some sort of voodoo on the lad to make him only want to sign for us, otherwise we'll just get outbid anyway. r0cafella
I’d like to know why we have no money and can’t afford him personally.

Minhosa
That's utter nonsense though. If he has another good season, there'll be zero commitment on their behalf to have any more than a passing 30 second 'this is the price, take it or leave it' chat. They will also be talking to other clubs in the background throughout the term of the loan. Fucking cumbuckets.
Infinitely Content
Let's just enjoy the fact it looks like we have him for a full season and worry about the fee/deal later. No use in putting a dampener on what is such excellent news in terms of bringing him back.
Mike
Won't he just cost more next year?
Guest reefatoon
They are not bothered about that as Rafa will be gone then, so we won't have to splash out (He won't be a Moyes type signing).

Infinitely Content
Has this cunt signed yet? Whey aye. They're probably just getting photos of the sexy bastard in that lush new away kit. Will be announced on PornHub later on.

Shays Given Tim Flowers
I mean I’ll enjoy watching him play but it’s hard to get too excited when we are just achieving parity with the second half of last season. Aye it was proper shite the second half of last season like. We’re a mid engined super car with a limiter at 70mph.

Might be worth more than £30m at the end of the season Aye but they're perfectly happy to sell now for £30m apparently. If they just weren't willing to sell now and only willing to loan in the hope of his price rising I could understand it, but not in this case. Sounds more like we've just made no effort to get a future fee agreed.
