I'm delighted with Isak though, so not remotely bothered about this. I'm worried for Paqueta though as I just don't trust Moyes. Could see the move not working out for him. ponsaelius Posted August 26, 2022 Share Posted August 26, 2022 He fits West Ham's team more clearly as they play with a solid double pivot and a 4-2-3-1. From what I've seen I think he could have played in our team too but there would definitely be slightly more doubt about him fitting a midfield 3 in the PL. I'm delighted we've got Isak but I still think we need either a winger or a midfielder with creative or goalscoring output. Not sure whether we'll be spending anymore hard cash so hope we can pull off somebody like Gallagher or Pulisic on a loan-to-buy. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Kimbo Posted August 26, 2022 Share Posted August 26, 2022 It’s strange that Paqueta is seemingly up for going to West Ham, I’m sure if there was any truth in the Man City interest he would hold on for another year. He might have looked at Bruno’s success here and figured he would do the same at West Ham, but I’m not sure it will work out that way. I think it’s possible Moyes has already peaked there and they’re going to go backwards, which could leave Paqueta stuck in midtable on a long contract and unable to move. I’ve seen nothing to say a fee has been agreed, and the only mention of wages being agreed is that ‘it wouldn’t be a problem’- meaning his agent has just notified all interested clubs as to what he would want.
