Other clubs' transfers

Solanke to spurs feels like a transfer that would happened to us if we’d somehow signed Isak under Ashley.  Luckily this stuff doesn’t happen like that anymore

Slight difference in size of club to us compared to Bournemouth to be fair, along with the expectations that go along with that.

Did you really think they were going to sell Solanke and upgrade on him?

Can’t but help feel relief at Solanke to Spurs.  Have never been a big fan, and always felt that there was a chance of Howe signing him.

Always thought he would be too expensive for us considering he turns 27 next month, no matter how much Howe loves him.

A quick Google says they rejected a bid of 6M. If that is ballpark for what the fee will be, that's not such a huge loss for us in the end.

Which is a relief given how I feel about Liverpool.

Solanke isn't quite elite but is great finisher like Wilson and has hitherto never got injured. Availability is the best ability.

He has been held up, with Jordan Ibe, in the past as an iffy or failed Eddie Howe transfer due to a slow start, but that was knee jerk at the time and is now complete bollocks. The big fee for him makes Solanke yet another Howe transfer triumph.

Sorry but £38m + £4m in add ons for De Ligt is brilliant business.

Replacing Wan Bissaka with Mazraoui and making some profit in the process is also very good business.

Any truth in him being involved in a hit & run in the last couple of days?

Any rumours who Bournemouth are going to go after with such a huge windfall with Solanke going?

You'd think they'd be interested in Nketiah

Palace potentially losing Guehi, Olise and Andersen in the same window would be a pretty major blow. Worse considering how much better they looked under the new guy.

They are also rumoured to be going to get Zaha back as well. An absolutely backwards step from them if they do. If they invest the money well, then they could actually really push on. Going back to Zaha being their only decent player will just push them back towards fighting relegation, and to be honest if they don’t invest the money, they would absolutely deserve it. The first sign of hope they have had since coming into the Premier League, and they are prepared to piss it up the wall.

I expect nothing less from their owner though, an absolute fucking tosser who has fooled everyone into thinking he’s a fan when in reality he’s in it for the money.

I like Solanke, but £65m for a 26 year old who has had only one good season in the Premier does seem like a risk. I think he'll do well though.

Be very surprised if they sell both this window.

Wouldn't be shocked if they have leaked this to put pressure on us to up our offer for Guehi.
