Other clubs' transfers

They're here for possibly as little as four months each, so it's not a multi year commitment to stupid wages. We're in the last 16 of the CL, and clearly in need of a shot in the arm.

Football is for fun, fuck it, have a go at it. The alternative was what, mook about fretting about wage bills?

The people running us are not stupid, they are aware of the rules

Again, I keep saying this, but we are really clever in the way we move players around. We've sold two youth products twice each in the last season and a half because of clever sales deals. We've just booked, what, £50m profit on a player who wasn't even a regular starter for us, who we bought from the MLS.

The whole financial nonsense is miserable, so I'm with you there. But personally my fear bringing these kind of players in would be how it affects your existing players/morale etc. They're cast-off (somewhat) players with questionable recent history. I think sometimes you can risk your existing harmony/fluidity by bringing them on. This is where NUFC are exceedingly smart. If you never sign anyone, they can't ruin the squad harmony.

Though aye, probably worth trusting in those in charge given how well they've done, before just writing these fellas off.

If you fail PSR what will happen in any case ? A few million fine and 6 points deduction ? We've just gave 6 points to Fulham and Bournemouth

TalkSport is a good listen tonight, the two guests are not having any of Jim White's attempts to talk up the narrative

Actually very good guests, don't know who their names though.

The Peterborough chairman?

Aye you get a points deduction whether you follow the rules or not, its a matter of weighing up which one is the least punishing.

I look at Forrest - spent big, failed PSR, got points deduction now flying. You could say reaping the rewards.

I think Spurs got a good deal here

They're really not a bad side on paper, but there's so much in the chemistry at that club that just isn't right.

I understand people’s frustrations to an extent, but surely criticising the owners of a football club for not breaking the rules is a little backward? This is all on the PL and the “big six”, not on us. Still, we’ll beat them at their own game eventually.

The fact that Man City can spend £180mil, more than every other team combined whilst having 115 charges against them highlights how broken the game is.
