Just watched press conference with Nathan Jones. It feels like an age since we last saw him.

Yeah he's been gone too long.

At this point no just means give us more money.

Been looking on the Chelsea forum and they're just as baffled like.

Quite. I mean Brighton already did exactly the same thing over Cucurella.

I think Danny Ings just wants to play for every club that plays in claret and blue. He'll have a retirement gig at Scunny on his way out.

Poor Scunny might be in the National League North soon.

The way Chelsea are going, they'll end up like Manchester United of the past decade - players treating a big-money move to a Massive Club as the endgame to their career and reputation, and then killing the hunger to win. Fingers crossed.

I get player value is essentially determined by a number of factors - mainly what he’s worth to that specific club but Brighton seem to repeatedly pull peoples pants down over the fees they get.

What a scruff, iron your shirt man.

Said it before with the Watford/Udinese thing but surely this is the sort of deal UEFA or FIFA should be more concerned with rather than clubs spending money they can afford, but goes against 'FFP'.

Good chance we might have been? We're not going to convince everyone plus he has a great shot of a title winner's medal there this season.

It’s setting up these young players up for life too and they’ve only just started their careers. They all know that they’re going to fine money wise given their talent, but surely they’re going to lack some fire when they’re not playing for their future or when things go a bit wrong

Aye, Mudryk will be 30 by the time this contract expires. He's only just turned 22, basically his entire career has been taken care of with that contract. There's nothing to motivate him to better himself if things go south, he can just sit on that contract until he's 30. Absolutely ridiculous move by Chelsea.
