Saudi league will end up the way of Chinese league,you build small not at an extreme rate with insane money

Can't compare it to the Chinese League- Saudis have far deeper pockets.  Am not comfortable with this at all.

@TheregularsNot coming to us. You’ll be disappointed…

Man I wanted so much better for him! Could easily go and play for a real side in a real league!! Tbf I think he did say he couldn’t play for another European club (but that might just be faux emotional bullshit to cover the greed). “Inter Miami” for goodness sake. Nick Imaginary Madrid of renford rejects, at least it’s funny.

Callum Roberts from Aberdeen to Scunthorpe. Weird career. Blyth was far too small for him, Notts County was probably perfect for him. Fair play taking the chance of going to Aberdeen but Scunthorpe again seems like he's went one or even two leagues under his ability.

I don’t get why we think it is about helping Chelsea. The saudi clubs are getting players from everywhere whether it’s from EPL teams or elsewhere. Should they ignore players from Chelsea just to avoid this narrative?

It’s a “buying Chris Wood will help Burnley!” redux. Chelsea would’ve found a way to offload the players they needed to and bought the players they wanted with or without the Saudis. If anything, moving quality players to Saudi Arabia who might’ve otherwise been sold to another PL club is a benefit to us.

Selling Koulibaly for 30m and getting 300k on wages would not happen anywhere else but Saudi

They were always going to get rid if them though regardless of the Saudis coming in. They aren’t terrible players who no one would want, the likes of Kante, Koulibily etc where always going to be wanted.

yeah but who was going to match the wages they are on at chelsea.

Yeah Chelsea made some terrible signings on crazy wages that they'd have struggled to give away. The fact that they are getting all the wages shifted and big fees for some of them is a bit annoying.

Arsenal yet another club who seem completely unaffected by FFP, despite being on the UEFA watchlist.

It does feel that way doesn’t it? I think it’s partly due to our journalists hanging on about FFP none stop.

yeah that’s interesting actually their biggest fees in the past five years have been from Everton £30m for Iwobi and £29m for Willock most other transfers for relative pittance.

They made bank in the 17/18 window with Sanchez, Giroud and AOC amongst others but they spent a similar amount in the same window.
