James Posted October 4, 2022 Share Posted October 4, 2022 Never makes sense to me that a playoff winner gets sacked within months in the PL. Unless they have spent so much money that it would bankrupt the club to go back down (why be allowed to spend that much), the manager has effectively secure a one season payday plus parachute payments. This should allow for squad development such that if they do get relegated, they are now favourites for automatic promotion and next time around in the PL can further strengthen and have a proper shot at it.
