If he wants Ashley to dip into his own pocket, then this is a clear message that there's no change of policy there. This summer we'll get Premier league money and next year will be the same. "Every penny the club generates" should mean significantly more than last summer. I say he, I mean the PR team (aka Keith Bishop) at Newcastle as someone else would have wrote that and he would have given it a thumbs up. It's all a game to him just like his business deals. Unfortunately for Ashley he has now come up against a manager who knows better than him how to play this game in football and if he loses Rafa he can kiss goodbye to any profit he may have made on Newcastle as the club will be on a downward spiral after that. I believe ours will be on their radar so every right to look at them as potential threat. It can all be sorted in one simple way: do what he wants and what MA has 'said' he will do.
