How irrelevant have this bunch become? I was reading BBC's piece on the Championship fixrures. Then wanted to see the interchangable fixtures Derby and Wycombe had. But League One's fixtures piece was not on the main page. Had to go to the league section page and then find it there. Funnily though, the sad bastard don't even get a mention in tne write up. Had to scroll to the bottom of the article anf see they are at home to Wigan on the opening day. They're a solid and regular League One outfit now so ain't nobody's cup final anymore. Hardly anyone gets excited to play them even down there.

Massive year for them as they have to replace so many players. I know the new joint owner (as the fab 3 still have a decent amount of shares overall) has money, but they are heavily hampered by the SCMP rules as they currently stand. He has also came out and said that he will be running the club within it’s own means. They need to have a good standard of players replacing the departed players, as it’s not the easiest task getting basically a new team to gel. A poor transfer window could see them falling quite a bit, as there are a few teams (maybe even Derby) that look like they will be challenging. This season will probably be the hardest out of their 4 ([emoji38]) so far to get promoted.

Mind the new majority owner could be just playing things down with his run the club within its budget statement when he first came in, put a large investment of money into the club to allow them more scope with SCMP, and buy the best quality players for that league to get them up. Going to be interesting to see.

Turns out their new owner has been using the furlough scheme to fund his players wages this pre-season.

I seem to remember them being up in arms when billionaire Richard Branson did the same.  Difference is, football is now happening.

Just read that. Good to see their forum finance expert defending their owners as always.

just checked RTG, they got all excited about signing some Georgian international called Giordi marijuana, only for him to fuck of to Portugal.  he’s 6ft 2 as well (apparently this is key) but now they’ve set their sights on a 6ft 4 player from Rotherham…so he sounds better cos he’s taller. [emoji38]

some are panicking no one in yet and it’s friendlies at the weekend, others think it’s because Avici is waiting for the Euros to finish to see who impresses him most to make some top signings. Finally loans are being suggested, players like the 3rd top assisted in the championship last season so he can play for a big club and in a big stadium before going back to Liverpool. Oh him and a Welsh international available for £10m. Least they won’t be disappointed this summer.
