TRon
1 hour ago, geordie_b said: lol, the kind of thing you write on the leaving card of the person in the office you didn't even know worked there He was one of our top players under Rafa, and had a great season where we qualified for the CL. I think he stayed a season too long and it's probably cost us a replacement, so my effusing eulogies are probably tempered by that.

HaydnNUFC
People go on about the PSG goal but his best 90 minutes' for us were against Brighton (h), May 2023 and the mackem game.

Ronaldo
The Brighton performance sticks out for me. Such a big game / result and he was bloody everywhere. His effort was never in question.

He'll never be a great but should be remembered well
Kid Icarus
An absolute pest of a player. He had his flaws but effort wasn't one of them. Put in some absolutely unbelievable performances that went beyond just goals in 22/23 and for part of last season too. Wish him nothing but the best. Memphis
Just seemed like the nicest guy in the world. Sweetheart of a fella. Respected his effort and his commitment a great deal and he had some very very special moments. If we have grown past the need for him as a club, it's in part because of the work he put in. Gracias y vaya con dios Miggy.

This gets glossed over a lot by 'purple patch lol'. Brighton, Sunderland and PSG away stick out for me. Edited 4 hours ago by nemtizz

Pretty much this, his performances that season went a long way to make the team greater than the sum of its parts. Hes a bit of a freak really, rarely if ever injured and would give you insane km numbers game in game out. Good luck to him.
