Where have you been for the last 3 years? Many good squad players have had a good month in the Premier League. Miggy was good under Rafa but absolutely cack afterwards (even by the standards being set at the time) and Howe barely picked him last season after he took over. He's a good squad player to have around but shouldn't be an automatic starter when he calms the fuck down and reverts to type, which he will. Apologies for not having a ridiculously polarizing opinion of the bloke. Edited October 27, 2022 by Dr.Spaceman
gbandit
Fully deserves a new contract. In terms of his development, I’m obviously not expecting him to be the attacking force consistently that he’s been over the last five games but I hope he can maintain this part of his game where he’s confident enough to make runs, to beat his man and to play with an attacking mindset. We know his left foot is great, that’s not going to go away and the longer he keeps performing like this the more belief he’ll have to keep playing like this
CPL
Everyone was shite under Bruce. Definitely think he is capable of being more than a squad player over the next couple of seasons at least whilst we are growing our squad. Think our priorities at the minute are CDM and CAM. Trying to close the gap and break into the top 4 obviously won't be cheap.

Aye but the quality of Almirons goals are miles better than Haalands so should be Almiron in my opinion. Haaland only scored tap-ins and penalties Edited October 27, 2022 by Pokerprince2004
Skeletor
I don't expect him to keep scoring at the current rate but if he continues chipping in with goals he's a very useful squad player going forward. STM
10 would have been a fantastic return for Miggy. If he stays fit, he should make that comfortably. We should be asking questions of other players in the squad, particularly Longstaff, Joelinton, Willock and ASM when he returns. Also, our CBs should be getting a goal or two. Guest
10 goals, 5 assists should be a realistic target if he's playing regularly. That's hoping for something between regular Almiron and October Almiron. Edited October 27, 2022 by Optimistic Nut

Longstaff is terrible at shooting and should do better with some of the positions he gets in on the edge of the box. Willock gets in good areas and has missed some good chances this season. He certainly should be chipping in with more. Big Joe goes from being one of our most composed players. To Riviere on smack when he gets near the box. ASM has always been erratic and should get more goals. I guess the argument would be, if his end product was better. We never would have signed him and he would have gone to a bigger club. 80
Fair enough to me. I'm loving his new lease of life but I'm not at the point of assuming it's like this forever yet. As an aside, and in my view it's a good thing, Howe seems to be very clued on the contractual and transfer side of things at the club. I don't like club structures where the manager/coach appears oblivious to what the DOF is up to.
