Funnily enough, there's a few Leicester lads I'm mates with and they fully get why Ashley's a cunt, even before they met me. Knew about the asset stripping, constant relegation battles from where we were, et cetera. Seems people who perpetuate those myths seem to only exist online for whatever reason. How's he gonna improve a Championship club? Both times we got out of the Championship we had a wagebill akin to a mid table PL club and the second time we had a CL winning manager. Bouncing back was just highlighting the atrocious mismanagement in the first place. As if they could relate in any way. For instance (completely hypothetically) if a Southampton fan came on here and said they couldn't stand Haasnhuttl, I'd be surprised and intrigued but the absolute last thing that would enter my head would be "hahaha what an entitled and clueless idiot, Saints fans don't know they're born;" I'd just assume they'd have some logical and potentially justified reason for the opinion, because how could I possibly know any better? Absolutely bizarre. I went on Grand Old Team a few weeks ago and got told Ashley was the best thing to ever happen to us and we should all give our heads a shake. I mean, what? They couldn't fathom why we hated him so much, so I explained it to them. Neither will they have the expectations Newcastle fans had when Ashley took over as we had been a CL club not long before his takeover. If and when they get promoted, and expectations rise it would be a different story as obviously Ashley is never going to want to invest seriously.
