Joelinton: will not play against Everton (Howe)

Recommended Posts

We need to cut our losses and get rid. Has a couple of subpar touches on the ball per game and it's simply not enough.

The likes of Ameobi got a lot of stick while working much harder for the team and looked like Shearer compared to Joelinton.

Or we could just stop putting him in the starting line up assuming we aren't going to be selling him any time soon.

Can we not do both?

Do we have a buyer lined up?

Why were the board so keen to push signing him?  Wasn't it a sticking point for Rafa?  £40m or whatever it was for a player without a position and has never had a great goal record.  Who looks slow, uninterested, poor in front of goal and erratic on the ball.

He plays nice passes now and then and sometimes his link up play and control in tight areas is fairly good.  But you'd be expecting a similar contribution from a £5m-10m player, or someone half decent that has come through the academy.

He is pretty crap.

yeah but they came with decent reputations and most we would have happily had here - including Haller.

just didnt work out.

Joelinton just came from complete leftfield. even online lazy scouting at the time suggested he as never a £40m player or one that we even needed.

I’m not sure why the hate. He’s no worse than any other member of the team. His price tag isn’t his fault.

No movement

Lazy, most of the time

Terrible first touch

Can’t shoot

Doesn’t jump

No awareness

No aggression

Unwilling to track a runner

No goals

£40 million usually means you have something

Doesn’t speak

about as un Brazilian as me

No flair

Nothing, utterly nothing
