Guest neesy111
Still made 2 important saves, especially for the one off the line.
Guest
Yep, did well to take the sting out of the shot.
SweMag
Better today. But to many touches on the ball everytime he gets it. Is acting as a target man in every situation. I would like him to ’pass and move’ more.
Stifler
I thought he was good tonight, but like always, had little support. That goal in midweek has given him some confidence.
STM
He had two chances. Did excellent from a difficult header and was unlucky not to score. Then did awful from 6 yards, a poacher puts them away. The bigger issue is that he only had two chances. Nothing is created for him.

TRon
Still have a feeling there could be a player in there, his all round game is good in my opinion. I know not everyone is going to see it, but I like his touch and how he looks to play in those around him. The main concern is still that he doesn't seem to strike the ball very well. Amir_9
Although unlucky for the header, he had time to compose himself for a proper shot on target the one he fluffed late in the game Having said that, contributed to making our winning goal so fair play. Newcastle Fan
He fought well, but still can't kick a ball properly, hopefully he will start growing in confidence now.
Kanj
If he scored on either first or second half chance I think we’d be over the moon. He’s looking much much better mind you.

tinoasprilla
Did well today. Was fouled all day long too and the ref gave him f*** all. Agree. Blatant two hand push by rudiger at one point. I thought he worked his bollocks off
toontownman
Playing injured apparently according to Bruce. Had to play him at Everton because there were no strikers on the bench. Yet also suggesting we wont need a striker as Carroll, Gaye, Muto might be fit after the Norwich game when we have a two week break. Regardless Joelinton is like it or not our best striker. Hopefully he gets a rest at the weekend.

LoveItIfWeBeatU
It would be interesting to know how many goals Gayle or Muto would have got with a 20+ game run in the side. I think they'd have scored more than Joelinton's 1 league goal. Joelinton has a groin injury and has been carrying the injury for at least 3 games. loki679
He's not a no.9 and he's certainly not a target man yet we persist in trying to play him like one. If we insist on playing hoof-it-at-the-strikers-head-and-hope-it-bounces-somewhere-useful-ball then play Carroll up top and rotate Almiron, ASM and Joelinton around him. I agree with this completely. You'd have to think the striking issue will solve itself if they find a role for him and he gets some confidence back. Needs to play as a false 9 imo. sh74
We could play with an 80 million striker and we still wouldn’t score. We create fuck all.
Yorkie
We could play with an 80 million striker and we still wouldn’t score. We create fuck all. He had an absolutely golden chance, clear shot at goal from ten yards out in the middle of the box, the ball not an especially awkward height - and he put it into the middle tier of the Gallowgate. I haven't watched as much as some this season but, based on everything I've seen, I can think of very few strikers we've had over the last couple of decades with less composure and instinct than Joelinton. For all the comparisons he doesn't get anywhere near Shola.
