Even though I don't think it's anything to do the current circumstances, and more a reaction to one incident that happened live in a big game, the fact that the reaction is:

"Hey people are collapsing - must be to do with those drugs that people are taking to combat the virus that has swept the globe and killed 6 million people"

just shows the amount of bizarre paranoia that exists in people's minds now.

Christian Eriksen collapsing in front hundreds of millions on live television with the paramedics saving his life probhas something to do with games being stopped for medical emergencies in the stands.

Or it could just be those bloody vaccines, what so I know?

It’s a little similar to crowd trouble. A big fuss is made when things go overboard and broadcasters don’t always pick up on it. The game doesn’t stop either. There’ll be naïve people who think it’s a rarity but go into a stadium and you’ll often see police/stewards going to the divide between home and away fans because it’s heating up a bit. It jus never gets coverage.

FIFA did a study after people kept trying to link players getting cardiac arrests to the vaccine (even though many of those weren't when vaccinated) and found that there was a higher incidence of cardiac arrests in football in 2018 than in 2021

More to do with PEDs than the Covid vax I'd imagine.

It's like Electronic Voice Phenomenon...dipshits making patterns out of the noise, 100% sure that it's a demon saying, "get out". Of course never mind that they're in an Italian monastery and the demon is speaking in English.

What happenned in the Mali game?  - the ref blew for full time at 85 mins and then again at 89mins

Apparently  they also had a 5 minute drinks break, 6 second half subs and two Var stoppages to add to the 90 as well, the ref has previous including a 2 month ban.

I hate "honorable defeats" in football, but given where we're coming from, yesterday we played well and with a little more luck we would've won. Particularly after Pedri and Fati both came in.

Time to end the grieving, new avatar it is.

I watched most the first half and then towards the end of the second and ET.  Certainly looked a lot better than under Koeman.  You seemed to carry a threat going forward again and looked the better team for long spells.  Just done on the counter a fair bit and the defence looked pretty exposed.  Can't believe how badly Busquets has fallen off.

Oh yeah, I get he is at the end of his career.  But it just shows that since La Liga was dropped by Sky Sports, I have only watched it here and there.  As the last time I saw him regularly, he was still top quality.  Maybe it's been more of a slow burner and I just never watched Barca enough to notice.

Can't believe they didn't ship him off to Roma in the summer when they had the chance. Instead they gave that absolute liability a new deal. Peak Arsenal.

A good friend of mine is a  die hard Arsenal fan and he was perplexed. They should have taken any money whatsoever that was offered for him. Think it was like £15 million too, which is actually pretty decent for him, as he is a complete disaster for them. Just too slow and cumbersome for Arsenal's style of play. Italy would have actually really suited him.

Just realised they've got a number of midfielders missing as they are at ACON and they also moved Maitland-Niles to Roma in Jan, who can also play in there. And so this likely screws them in the league now too, as they will be extremely stretched in that position
