Actually played better, albeit still fucking shite, when down to ten IMO.

Aye. Everyone knows the ten man game, though. Sit back, narrow the pitch when you're out of possession, break when you can. Very much just default, same thing any non-elite team deploys when they go a man down and are under the cosh.

When the onus is actually on us to proactively carry out a chosen gameplan, it falls to bits cos the players are being puppeteered by a bloke with nine thumbs.

Yup, the midfield four in the first half were absolutely criminal. Sat deep but not deep to enough as to stop constant space in between them and the defence but too deep so that Wilson was horrifically isolated. Terrible on the ball and weak on the press and in tackle. Pathetic.

To cut a long story short, our game plan for every game is to sit back, get all 11 men behind the ball, don't press the opposition just sit there and let them have the ball and basically just hope something happens for us at some point in the game. Exactly the same in every game.

Honestly, it looked more a case of Sheffield United losing their way a bit with all those strikers being thrown on.

Seemed to mess up their build up play, particularly when McGoldrick was shunted out wide, as he was linking all their play brilliantly through the middle in the first half.

The space they’d been exploiting first half disappeared as we could drop further back. That and what you said.

Bang on!  Every game is exactly the same regardless of the opposition.  I said on another thread that you can't give the opposition 70% of the ball and expect a positive result.  I know it's not rocket science but why hasn't Bruce been pulled up on that by the media?  There are only The Athletic journalists questioning him.  So annoying how he still gets an easy ride.

Well, something happened in this game.

What happend was that we just lost to one of the worst team in the history of the Premier League.

BRUCE OUT!

ASHLEY OUT!

Possession 88-12 in the second half

Don't think this is right, we had 31% in the first half and finished the game with 32% according to the BBC website, which means we actually had more possession after the sending off

Ok, saw this, maybe it’s just for the first 15 minutes or something

Has he done one with Sky? Seen they've uploaded Wilder's

You'd like to think he's reading the players the riot act in the dressing room after that display, but whilst most of them a bag of s***, he's the biggest problem going.

Whoever are the main voices in that dressing room, guessing Fernandez/Carroll/Lascelles, there has to have been some strong words said after that capitulation. Any leaders in this team, or just senior pros would have been around the game long enough to see how they've set up - two attacking players, back five - and how it can't come as any suprises we didn't have a sniff even with 11 men.

Hopefully a reverse Mike Bassett scenario with the players having a right go at the manager.

Aye, could see a few of them losing their shit with the Steve's after this.

Could see Wilson was losing his patience towards the end of the game - whistle went when he was on touchline on the far side, and he just booted it into the stand.

Fraser lost his head, fed up with not getting a sniff in the game - daft twat for getting sent - but understandable. Imagine only knowing Eddie Howe at Bournemouth, and having to play gold-plated Bruceball away to Sheff United.
